Women have a lot of problems keeping their hairstyle up during those hard nights partying, rainy days, hours shopping, and almost any other event we attend. It would be great if we could pull a hair straightener or iron right out of our purses, plug it in, and fix the hair issues right away. Well the future could be here with an invention from the Beautiful Vending Company based in the UK. They have already installed a few of these hair straightening vending machines called, Straight Up in a few clubs and gyms in the UK. These vending machine could be installed any many places including bathrooms, right above the hand dryers. The Straight Up machine would allow women to pop in the bathroom and do a quick hair fix. This is a very interesting concept that could pick up across the world if the idea fixes any complications.
How the Straighten Up Works
These Straighten Up vending machines work by depositing money into them and after heating up will provide 90 seconds of power to straighten hair and fix frizzes. Currently the ones in the UK cost 1 pound which is about $1.80 cents in US dollars to provide the 90 seconds of hair straightening time. The machine consists of a GHD ceramic irons, some quality irons in the market as well as internal circuit breakers to protect against electrical problems. The company also does installation and maintenance as well of the units.
Possible Issues with Straighten Up
There are some issues that could deter the use and sales of these hair straightening vending machines. The first is the lifetime of the machines. How long will these ceramic irons last because it is common knowledge that not everyone treats these vending machines with proper care. Another question is safety. Are these vending machines safe enough to be used in general public setting, especially at a club where there is drinking involved. The last is cleaning and maintenance. Women have different hair and different ways of straightening including the use of sprays and other products.
