Which men's cut/style are you most proud of?
What do you love about this cut?
My men's cut was inspired by frozen shards of grass, like you would typically see after a frost. I used a razoring technique on top after a custom color and used the skip guard technique to properly fade the bottom. I love this hair cut because it blends hard and soft, along with playing with depth and light. At the end of the day I'm an artist, and the hair is the the canvas that I can create multiple stories with. Some stories are dramatic, some are romantic, but hopefully whatever story I'm creating brings the best out of the people who wear them.
Which women's cut/color are you most proud of?
What do you love about this color?
The female picture is from a recent photoshoot that my salon did. The inspiration came from Andy Warhol "Pop Art". I was able to do everything from the styling, to makeup ,and hair color. I created custom colored extensions to enhance the subtle violent tones, with more vibrant pink bayalage pieces layered in. I am most proud about this look because I was able to create a complete visual statement and homage to a creative genius like Andy Warhol, while still keeping it fresh and modern.
What inspires you as an artist? I am inspired by everything from fashion, to classic movies, to nature. Fashion should be a given, after all, what's hair but the fashion accessory that we wear everyday. All types of movies inspire me from all types of genres, but especially sci-fi and classics from the golden days of Hollywood. Nature inspires me with color and texture, especially tropical birds and flowers.
