Medium Wavy Hairstyles
A little length but still short enough for a quick style, medium length hair is a great option for girls on the run who want great style in a short amount of time.

After towel drying your hair, spread a volumizing mousse throughout to give your hair lots of body and bounce. Spritz a little root lift into the crown area and blow dry your hair about 90 percent dry with your fingers and a nozzle on the blow dryer. When hair is mostly dry, use a round brush for volume in the roots and to smooth your layers into large curls. To get the best result, do this in horizontal layers up your head starting in the back and moving toward the top and front. Pull brush through hair from roots to ends, rolling under as you go. Once hair is completely dry, use a large barrel curling iron to polish off the ends and add just a little more curl to them. Tease the hair in the crown area and smooth over the top. Tousle the ends with your fingers and spray the finished style with a finishing hairspray. Try to use a pump spray instead of an aerosol spray for this style. You aren’t trying to get firm hold, just enough to keep the curls in and the style set. Aerosol has a tendency to sit heavily on the hair and will make it look and feel more like a helmet than the soft and sexy style it should be.
 
If you don’t want to mess with the curling iron and you want hands free to do other things, experiment with hot rollers. They are a lot easier to use than they used to be and can give you great glossy locks. Use a horsehair brush to smooth through the curls and create waves that look fantastic and hold all day. Once you’ve got the style the way you like it, spritz with a little medium hold hairspray. Gorgeous!
 If you don’t have anything in your heat tools except a flat iron, don’t stress! You can still have soft curls. The way you hold the flat iron and pull it through those ends will determine the way the hair lays on your head. If you put the flat iron in horizontally and turn slightly under to slide the hair through, you will get a smooth round shape. If you turn it vertically and turn it half-way before sliding hair through, you will get a fun beachy curl.
Note: Take a little time to experiment with these methods before a big event instead of in the hours before. You don’t want to stress yourself out!
