How would you describe this look?

We did this look to transition her into a shorter style that is fresh, flattering, and fun! My favorite thing about this look is how it is captivating for so many different facial types. You can give it so many personalities through adding layers, doing all one length, or stacking it in the back!

Any advice for someone considering it?

There are so many fun routes you can take! The longest part of your hair in the front can act as an arrow towards your facial features, so make sure you talk to your stylist about what would be most flattering with your features and style!

Also, make sure you take your hairstyles into consideration. For example, with this look, odds are you won’t be able to put your hair up in a high ponytail.

How would you describe this look?

This look is a sexy shattered lob. I love how the slight angle gives a slimming look by drawing your eye down and framing her face. However, the shattered layers give volume to her crown drawing your eye up.

Any advice for someone considering it?

Take into consideration that you will need to have a round brush, flat iron, and texture spray or powder to achieve the full effect. This looks is fun and sassy but does take some effort to style.

If you get a texture spray like Oribe’ Dry Texture or L’oreal Techni Art Super Dust, you can rejuvenate this look throughout the day by roughing up the root with your hands. I say go for it!

Wavy Lob

Maximize your blonde and caramel streaks by putting them in soft twists! This long bob could easily use some curvy patterns to build up its form.

How would you describe this look?

This look is lived in and full of dimension! I love the brightness of the blonde!

Any advice for someone considering it?

What I would want a future client to know about this style is that you can skip the salon appointment every four weeks. The look helps blend any unwanted grays coming in. It’s for someone who just doesn’t have the time to hang out in a salon. It’s a very easy wash-and-go style. You can also style it up with some texture spray for a slept-in look!

Layered Bob

How would you describe this look?

This cut is a medium length lob (long bob) with light layers at the bottom. What I really love about this look is the versatility. The layers give it movement to enable you to wear it in multiple ways. It can be worn casual or dressy, curly, messy or straight.

Any advice for someone considering it?

Go for it! It is so easy to style, and almost all hair types work well. For styling a messy finish, let it air dry on a hot day with some light gel. With thicker hair, blow dry with smoothing creme and a round brush for a straighter finish.

Volumizer can be used on finer hair. Also, you can really dress this look up by curling it. Another fabulous thing about medium length hair is that you can still pull it up! You cannot go wrong with this style. To keep this cut looking its best, I suggest a cut every 5-6 weeks. Enjoy!

How would you describe this look?

I think it’s really ‘in’ right now to embrace this kind of messy texture, so to me this look is very effortless and lived-in. My favorite thing about it is that as you wear it over the next day (or two), the wave will loosen more. I think it looks even better as it becomes a little more undone.

Any advice for someone considering it?

Honestly, the lob is so versatile that I think anyone can wear it. The length is flattering on most face shapes, and it’s pretty low maintenance day-to-day. I cut this one pretty textured because my client has a nice wave to her hair and I wanted to enhance that and keep it easy to style.

For example, it would look good if she were to just use some sea salt spray and air dry it. On the other hand, if she wanted to change it up a bit and blow it out straight, it would create a totally different look.

How would you describe this look?

I’d describe this look as textured, shaggy yet versatile. The color consists of several warm tones including Rusk’s triple pigmented chocolate series and a custom toner using Shades EQ from Redken.

Any advice for someone considering it?

This client is in her ’60s! If you want low maintenance, try these piecey layers. If you’re carefree and love wild hair, go for it! There can be tons of texture added in with a dry texture spray like Beach Club IGK or my favorite – Texturiza by Unite. Rough dry or air-dry, and if you need the extra body, try using a medium curling iron. Shake out and add texture with your favorite spray. 😍

Medium Length Angled Bob

How would you describe this look?

This look is a very low maintenance but modern look! With this color, I touched up her pretty sparkles (root smudge) and then I painted balayage pieces and ended with a Redken gloss! It’s great for those who want something trendy but don’t want to break the bank! My favorite thing about this look is how it looks so effortless but so trendy.

Any advice for someone considering it?

I honestly think this look can work for anyone! Whether you love to wear your hair messy, naturally wavy, or curled loosely, this style will work great. I always use a leave-in conditioner and a blow dry balm, and my favorite curling iron for this look is a 1-inch curling iron.

How would you describe this look?

This look is a soft and natural looking blonde. The cut and color framed around her face giving her youthfulness and glow!

Any advice for someone considering it?

This look is great for someone who wants low maintenance hair or is more high maintenance. The medium length caters to both. It can be tied back into quick style or blown out.
