The only thing I would recommend is a smoothing serum to really enhance that light catching sparkle.

I like to think that I’ve done many haircuts like this, and that is a compliment. It looks like there is a good cut, good bones make great cuts. I appreciate the subtle layers, the clean length and the considered lack of overdone things. It is great to have a haircut that will not require anything from you. It is great to look good without the effort.

Take a look at this if your hair often falls flat. The waves look soft and not overly done, but they definitely give fine to medium hair something to work with. You will not need to do too much to get this look. Use a flat iron and loosely bend each section of hair in alternating directions. I would avoid heavy styling products so hair can be natural. Thank you for your kind remark about highlighting! With this type of balayage, the highlights could seem a bit much, but they will warm the color up and grab some light where the waves are. In terms of layering, I find that straight to slightly wavy hair is ideal because it gives a bit of movement, but the hair won’t have to be styled for a few days. These sun-kissed highlights are adding warmth that’ll give the sensation of a late summer day, which is always a good thing regardless of the season! I love how the waves look with the highlights! The warmth of the highlights softens the overall look. The shoulder cut is more on the simpler side, however, the texture is what will bring the cut to life. This hairstyle will create a more volumized appearance to fine to medium hair from the waves and highlights. The color will need to be touched up every couple of months, however, the grow out will be pretty nice, so you won’t have to do much to maintain the cut.

I love cutting curly hair at this length because there are more shapes I can create than with straight hair. The defined layers allow each curl to spring up, giving you bounce and volume without the bulk. A lob with bangs can go two ways and this way is my fave. They are soft enough not to overpower, but provide that finished look that a lob without bangs can sometimes lack. Overall the cut is very clean and the shine here is stunning. If you have fine to medium hair and have been thinking about bangs, this is a softer version of what bangs would look like. They will require more frequent trimming than the rest of the cut, ideally every 3 to 4 weeks, but the impact is so worth it!
#39 Auburn Warmth with That Easy Wave
The warm auburn color is nice, but does not feel overly rich. If you have a heart-shaped face, the warmth in this color will complement your features, especially with waves. The warmer tones are going to “pop” with light surfaces created by the waves. The beach waves will create light surfaces that will make the warm tones pop. It may take a while to create the waves, but it is pretty simple. You can do it pretty easily with a curling wand and your fingers. It doesn’t have to be super meticulous.

The highlights are doing what they are supposed to do at this length, adding dimension without making things look stripey. Within the waves, the depth changes depending on how the hair falls which is an lovely detail. The layers are soft, and the gentle overall shape is flattering without being fussy.
