A few days ago, I had a client who said that she thinks anything and everything looks off with her glasses. I wished I could shake her because she had such great facial bone structure and a better cut would show that more. After you turn 60, this is truth people don’t tell you about wearing glasses. Your frame is doing almost half of the work for you. It can give your face definition, bring attention to your eyes, and draw some contours that a good cut can play off like how a good hairstyle finishes a good look.
From my years of experience, this is what I can say: Short hair is more than just “easier” for some reason. I think a lot of women overcomplicate their hair because they’re trying to make it do the job that the right glasses would, and much more easily. Sometimes the best thing about your haircut is how it gets out of the way and lets your frames, your face and your personality do the rest.

I keep coming back to this one because it makes the most sense. It’s controlled in a non-stiff way. Everything is done just right. Just enough on top for volume and movement and nothing is sticking up or looking out of place. The silver is that stunning cool toned color you get when someone is really leaning into their natural gray and keeping it well. Those clear frames just blend into the look. This is a haircut that is as good as a well fitting white shirt and nice trousers. It doesn’t need to be flashy and it makes everything you put on look great. If you have fine hair and struggle with pixies that go flat by noon, ask your stylist for some internal layering through the crown for built in lift.

A lot of the women don’t think about this with their hairstyle and glasses, it’s like they are having two different conversations.
