I get asked a lot about very short hair cuts and to be frank, it really depends on how I’m feeling that week. It’s exciting because there are so many directions to go with it. I love how much the hair cutting and styling world has changed, and I look forward to how it continues to evolve. Even just a bit more openness and excitement is great. There is no need to be so polished or super messy. You can sit somewhere in the middle, and it can be a perfect fit.

One of my clients grew out her hair for three years. When she came in, everyone was surprised when she said she wanted to cut it. I could tell she meant business. We ended up going with a really short choppy textured cut, and when I spun the chair around, she started crying. It had been the first time in a long time that she felt like her true self.
