The best styles to have at this chapter in your life, is not about “settling” but about really finding “your thing.” And that’s what finding a style that works it’s really all about. The haircut should do what it’s supposed to do. It should give you that boost that every time you see your reflection you think, oh yes!
I remember one time having a client, who was a retired art teacher and had been growing her hair out for decades. It was so much a part of her that she didn’t realize she was doing it, but one day she came in and said she’d been watching her granddaughter who had just gotten a pixie cut and that was the moment she realized she’d been holding onto hair for way too long. Amazing curls! Chin length is the sweet spot for curls, as they can spring up and really show off body. If your hair has any natural curl and you’ve been straightening it, or growing it out to weigh it down, I really encourage you to consider the cut. It would really show off the texture, which is a gift. I would only recommend second day hair and a curl refresher spray for this look.

I think it is awesome that she is playing around with her hair! A lavender wash over what I assume is natural white or silver hair is brilliant because it means no bleach is required. The cut is a textured pixie and that would look good in any shade, but lavender is what makes it unique. Fashion colors like that one will fade so you’ll need a color depositing shampoo to stretch out your time between salon visits. Even as the color fades it will look great and be softer and more pastel in tone.

I am happy with this haircut. The curls are nice, and they are full and defined. The length is also just right to show off the pattern of the curls. The color looks natural, with dimension, gray and silver, and warmer tones. It also catches the light beautifully. Short curly hairstyles are the easiest to maintain too. The curls give the volume and the interest; the cut just has to set the stage. If your curls lose their definition between washes, use a curl-enhancing cream on damp hair.
