Even though that is more of a feeling than a description. The layers throughout the hair create movement and stops it from being too clean and polished which is the best choice. If your hair is naturally wavy, this is one of those styles that actually works with you, instead of against you.

I appreciate how this sits a little shorter than the rest and closer to the chin for a different vibe. It definitely feels a bit more intentional. I think the highlights are strategically placed enough to catch the eye, but not too much to distract from the shape of the cut. I think the little wave through the mid-lengths creates enough movement, and with how thick your hair is, I think this cut will need some internal layering to keep it from puffing out and losing the shape. This cut is really lovely as is for fine to medium hair.

If you want something that looks polished with little effort in the morning, this is the cut for you. Just note that lighter colors mean more upkeep at the salon.

I cannot tell you how many times I will highlight how sharp and clean all of the ends of this cut are, and what that means about the level of intention that has gone into this cut. The addition of balayage warms the look and adds some lovely dimension, without compromising the clean look. It just falls. Honestly, highs and lows like this will require heat styling to look their best, so if your ideal situation is wash and go, this haircut is definitely going to ask more of you than you want to give. Platinum is a material that either works or does not, and here, it works. The straight blunt cut helps bring it down to earth, and gives it an anchor, while the shine is subtle and gentle against the skin. I also appreciate that this isn’t trying to be anything other than a simple cut, and bright and modern. The one thing I will say is that platinum does take a lot of commitment. A home toning treatment works wonders at keeping the brassiness at bay, especially as the weeks go by, and it helps a lot to offset what you are going to have to do between appointments.

What is most noticeable about this look is the movement; the bounce is contagious. The warm blonde highlights are distributed so that every single highlight is strategically placed to catch the light as the hair moves and, with the warm blonde color, it follows the way the hair falls. Each highlight softens the waves and adds to the effortless look while keeping it more natural. This is hair that you would want to touch. For those waves to be held in a more intentional way and to also avoid that messy look, I would suggest a lightweight mousse and scrunching it while it’s still damp. Then, let it air dry.

This look can be easily obtained with a decent blow dry and round brush, but it also looks great when air dried. It’s really versatile and can be rocked any day of the week!
