As I sat and watched my aunt begin to get her hair cut I thought about all the possibilites she could do with her hair, like how she could get some cool and fun layers, or she could get a blunt cut all the way to her shoulders like the one she had been sporting my entire life. I could tell change made her anxious and so I stood there and excitedly encouraged her to do it, it felt massive to me. I took off maybe an inch and added a few soft and subtle layers. Nothing wild. She spun around, looked into the mirror, and said “Oh that’s my face again!” She was right. There is a certain freedom that comes with cutting hair, and it definetly looks younger. I could definetly tell that my aunt was super confident after the cut because it was the perfect amount of movement and comfort.
Women who get their hair the way they like them know what they want and what they value, and no longer chase after trends. This is especially true with hair that has been layered because it gives a variety of options and a lot of different possibilities such as an edgy pixie cut, or collarbone length hair with really good movement. I have picked out a bunch of styles and will explain what I like about each of them as we go along. Some styles will be more practical and easier to cut than others. all the styles will have an intention behind them.

#1: Rounded Bob with a Warm Highlight Situation
This haircut looks more expensive than it actually is. It has a nice clean rounded shape that sits just above the shoulders. The highlights are placed well to catch light around the face and not look stripey which is a look that nobody wants. The density is on the finer side which works to the haircut’s advantage as it allows the hair to feel soft and not heavy. If the color is appealing to you, just know that won’t be at the salon for touch ups more than you would expect. Highlights face forward and show regrowth pretty honestly.

#2 Shaggy Shoulder-Length Cut with Those Little Wispy Bangs
effortless and still has personality. With the mid-lengths cut the same across and subtle gradations at the top, the hair has lift, and the tiny bangs that touch the forehead really add to it. If your hair is fine to medium textured and has a little gray, some babylights help with blending. Just know this cut requires upkeep and styling. You really will want to use a round brush or at least curl it all up in the morning. Also, those bangs need to be trimmed every few weeks or else they will look wild.

#3 Chin-Length Bob with That Pretty Beige-Gold Color
My favorite detail about this one is the color, a warm beige-gold like the color of afternoon light, which looks beautiful against the skin. The cut is a chin grazing bob with inward flips at the ends, along with some feathery face framing pieces, and she has graduated layering through the crown so she can control a little cowlick that seems to be at the crown. This shape works well with fine to medium hair with a bit of a natural wave. While the hair does require some styling, the flip is worth the five minutes of blow drying.

#4 Ash-Blonde Collarbone Cut with Feathered Movement
The stylling is easy, while the ends kick out and the face framing layers are effortless, which are all features that feel deliberately placed. The ash blonde with root shadow makes grays blend beautifully and is very low maintenance for an all over highlight. If you are experiencing some thinning at the crown, this specific type of interior feathering is clever because it gives you the appearance of fullness without the weight. As for the styling, it’s really simple, perhaps a light volumizing spray and a round brush to get that movement out at the ends, but nothing too fussy.

#5 Caramel Lob with That Soft Flip at the Ends
Doesn’t the warm caramel color look stunning? She totally looks like she was on vacation and came back with a nice sun-kissed glow! It’s a shoulder-grazing lob that has been sliced on the inside to reduce some of that volume at the ends, and has a nice gentle flip at the bottom to add some movement. This is a nice option if you have flat hair since the layers will provide some good separation. The bottom flip does require some styling so you will need a small hot tool or a decent blow dry with a round brush, and that balayage will need to be refreshed every few months as well. For sure the color technique is worth it because the in-between stages are pretty and not just grown-out looking.

#6 Copper Chin-Length Layers with Natural Lift
I do like copper, and for this cut I am genuinely excited. The chin length layers are cut to let the natural wave do the work, and the crown cowlick is used for lift instead of being fought against. This works best for medium-fine wavy hair so if you have that awesome! One downside is that coppers fade faster than almost any other color so you will need a color depositing conditioner to use in between appointments. If you want to skip the blowout use a smoothing product to prevent those ends from getting fluffy.

#7 Blonde Mid-Length Cut with a Natural Sweep
I’d classify this as a “your hair but better” cut. Just brushing the shoulders, the ends are feathered and the face has soft layering. A subtle root shadow means you won’t be in the salon every four weeks. The interior stacking gives fine to medium hair some backbone at the crown, and the swoop around the face falls nicely and not overdone. It’s a cut where people say “your hair looks great” without being able to say what changed. A round brush blowout is needed to get it smooth, and the cut is very point to look ends are blunt, and that is what makes it read heavier than it should.

#8 Copper Chin-Length Bob with Side-Swept Layers
Copper color accents the chin-length bob. Shorter internal layers at the crown add height and the ends are point cut to keep the finish airy. Everything is designed to enhance movement. Side-swept layers give direction without added fuss. On fine to medium wavy hair, the shape comes together with a round brush and some quick styling. The copper glaze will require regular toning to keep it from looking brassy. If you have a cowlick at the crown tell your stylist in advance so the layering works with it.

#9 Salt-and-Pepper Tousled Bob with a Light Fringe
What brings me so much joy is how she looks like she just rolled out of bed and somehow looks amazing. The chin length bob with the loose side bangs looks so effortless and is so hard to recreate. Her natural salt and pepper color is gorgeous, and I love that the stylist decided to do reverse graduation in the nape for shape and movement at the ends with some point cutting. This cut will definitely reward you if you have some natural waves because it will look like it just does its own thing. If you have finer hair, a root boosting product is a must and the bangs will need some thinning because otherwise they will go from wispy to curtain bangs in a heartbeat.

#10 Cropped Pixie with Wispy Bangs and Gray Coming Through
A woman in her sixties with a beautiful pixie cut is a sight to behold. The look you asked for is finally complete. This includes stacked layers on the crown to support lift, a tapered nape, and some wispy bangs that touch her eyelids. The natural salt-and-pepper hair at her temples provides an effortless contrast that no colorist could replicate. This shape is ideal for those with straight, fine to medium hair and holds beautifully. Just be sure to have a root lift product in your morning routine to help in that commitment to daily styling. It may be a commitment, but the good news is it shouldn’t take more than three minutes.

#11 Silver Chin-Grazing Bob with an Easy Side Part
I appreciate the intentionality of people’s choice to let their gray hair grow out. For example, this chin-length bob features internal layers, as well as soft razor texture, which creates mobilityimportant hower maintains the clean outline of the bob. In addition, the off-centered part along with the small crown cowlick makes volume and lift a natural occurrence. No need to apply a heavy product or tease the hair. This cut is very forgiving on the fine to medium gray hair. The person doing this cut should be very precise with the layers because too much will cause the hair to shape poorly and too little will cause the hair to fall flat. Surprisingly, this bob also looks polished when air dried unlike so many other looks that end up messy when dried naturally.

#12 Grown-Out Silver Bob with Quiet Volume
I appreciate how this style is polished yet looks effortless. It’s a grown-out chin-to-neck bob with a crown stack and feathered layers at the ends. The goal is to look naturally beautiful rather than overdone. The natural front cowlick is helping the side part sit just so, which is a nice reminder that a lot of people consider hair issues are really just traits waiting for the right cut. If there’s concern regarding silver hair washing people out, a violet gloss or soft lowlights will add dimension and warmth without losing the silver effect.

#13 Auburn Stacked Bob with a Delicate Fringe
The Stacked Bob Auburn has a charm that is nice to the touch. The micro fringe softly touches the forehead while most bang styles do not make that kind of full bang commitment. This type of style looks really nice on straight hair when it is fine or medium. Especially if you haven’t had that thick voluminous feeling in a long time, this style does give a little. Maintaining that shape does mean that a round brush blowout is required nearly every day. Additionally, red tones more than other colors require maintenance to avoid muddy color, so those tones need maintenance to stay fresh and bright.

#14 Short Pixie with Stacked Crown Layers and a Soft Fringe
This pixie has a straight cut at the nape with layered stacking at the crown and a delicate micro-fringe. This is the type of style that will make getting ready in the morning more of treat than a chore. There is a left side cowlick here that gives natural lift which any good stylist will work with for some vertical point cutting. A little root-smudge blends the grey without making you a slave to her salon calendar. For this shape you’ll want a root lift product, that’s non-negotiable, but the actual styling time is minimal.

#15 Shoulder-Length Layers with Long Curtain Bangs
Not everyone can pull off curtain bangs, but in this case all the face shape and hair textures needed to make curtain bangs work is here. The shoulder length cut has soft feathered layers that create a natural crown lift and the bangs sit and fall just above the cheekbones which gives off an effortlessly intentional vibe. If your hair is wavy, the layers will create an effortless beautiful movement. A simple round brush and some Cream will do the trick to keep the look polished. A salon gloss treatment every now and then will keep the color rich.

#16 Platinum Blunt Bob with a Feathered Fringe
I always like to make my clients aware of how detailed platinum services can get, but with careful artistry, and on a clean blunt bob like this one, it’s gorgeous! The chin length perimeter is blunt but the inner point cutting gives it a bit of movement so it doesn’t look too heavy, and the soft feathered fringe is the perfect counterbalance to the structure. Straight, fine hair (of medium density) actually works really nicely here as it stays super sleek and doesn’t fight you. This will require maintenance – regular toners and root melts will be needed, and as fine hair can get flat at the crown, some shallow crown layering will be needed to combat that. So, this is a maintenance heavy style, but if you’re ready for the upkeep, it’s so good!

#17 Chestnut Shoulder-Grazer with a Center Fringe
About a month ago, I did this exact style on one of my clients and she sent me a picture from dinner that night looking beautiful, which is the best compliment! She has a shoulder-grazing chestnut that has soft long layer and a soft center face framing fringe. The shadow rooted technique adds some depth and dimension while the light slicing at the end prevents this style from looking too heavy. If you have a crown cowlick, the part has to be cut to the cowlick so that the whole thing doesn’t fight you. Also, the fringe will require regular trims every few weeks, but it’s a quick snip and won’t require a whole appointment.

#18 Long Layered Chocolate Brown with Feathered Bangs
I appreciate seeing women over 60 with longer hair as I think mid-length styles can look great on them. This style falls to about mid-chest and has point cut layers with some light razoring done to remove some weight. This keeps the body of the style from the natural loose waves. The fringe is light and frames the face, showing off her features. The warm mid-length lowlights with a root shadow blend her grays beautifully and most naturally. If your hair is wavy like this, use a diffuser to define the waves, or for a more polished finish go for a round brush blow dry. The fringe will need to be shaped often but it is easy to maintain in between visits.

#19 Warm Chestnut Mid-Length with Feathered Face-Framing
This style uses the collarbones flattering length to the fullest. It has long internal layers and point cut feathering for a natural crown lift + soft rounded inward flips. The feathered face-framer draws the eye exactly where you want it. If you’re dealing with a mild thinning situation, this method provides great camouflage as the layered movement created an illusion of density (not bulk) which is lovely. The color is warm chestnut with soft lowlights + a delicate silver blend at the temple which adds a nice dimension. For this style, you’ll need a round brush or light heat tool to maintain the root lift and those nice feathered ends.

#20 Rounded Chin-Length Bob with a Barely-There Fringe
A classic style is showing off the rounded bob, and this one with internal graduation at the nape, and light slice layering, is the best because it offers the best balance between fullness and movement. The wispy fringe is just enough to make a difference while not being too present. There is some noticeable silver regrowth at the part, which looks pretty here but will need to be colored if solid color cover is preferred. A small crown cowlick is giving some natural lift which is a plus. The curved shape will need a round brush blowout to keep that inward roll looking intentional.

#21 Silver Angled Bob with a Deep Side Part
The silver angled bob’s deep side part creates an enticing sweep across the brow. I think this style works on almost anyone. The stacked graduation at the nape and slightly blunt ends provide volume and weight, which fine to medium straight hair needs. We can see some silver shadow at the parting which adds dimension, and the style is polished without being stiff. It does depend on your stylist’s precise graduation and a round brush blowout to keep that curve, so consider it. This is a salon relationship cut meaning you need someone who gets the geometry.

#22 Stacked Chin-Length Bob with Feathered Face-Framing
Numerous clients appreciate the rounded shape of this style, along with its real crown height. The lift is created by the interior stacking and razor texturing, while the subtle root shadow blends the grays beautifully and seamlessly without any harsh lines. This bob is meant to look good when you leave the salon, but it’s designed to look good three days later with little effort. Light styling paste through your fingers may be all that’s needed. A crown cowlick may be stubborn and require some blend shaping, but that’s a discussion to have while you’re in the chair.

#23 Short Silver Pixie with a Side-Swept Fringe
The silver color looks stunning with this cut. The nape graduation and feathered layers keep it soft and feminine instead of harsh with 1-3 inches. The longer side-swept fringe is quite stunning. A small crown cowlick gives natural lift, so you won’t need to use product or style it. I know air drying is important to a lot of people, and this cut will do that well. To keep the silver bright and cool instead of yellow, use purple toner shampoo once a week.

#24 Voluminous Chin-Length Bob with a Wispy Fringe
To achieve the “my hair just does this” look, the hair cut is known as short interior graduation at the nape, longer top layers, feathered ends with a slight inward bevel. For fine to medium hair that is slightly wavy, this cut achieves the desired rounded volume. The finish is natural and full. The soft, wispy fringe gently covers the forehead and the silhouette remains exposed. Soft lowlight blends grey, adding subtle dimension. The shape can be maintained with a round brush blow-dry and light root mousse, but it only takes about ten minutes.

#25 Brushed Shoulder-Length Cut with a Long Side Fringe
I really like this because it’s not trying to be anything other than what it is, which is a very well executed shoulder length cut with a long side bang. The internal point cutting with a soft perimeter bevel gives crown lift without too much thinning and the silver at the temples blends beautifully with the brown. The slight natural flip at the ends adds some character. It won’t hold tight curls because that’s the nature of this cut, but daily round brush styling helps. The result is quite pretty without a lot of drama.

#26 Short Textured Pixie with Feathered Little Bangs
I really like the confidence and modern feel of this short textured pixie with a stacked crown and feathery micro-bangs. The graduated stacking along with the point cutting and light razor texturizing creates effortless lift and separation while requiring a skilled hand to achieve. This haircut will beautifully flatter oval-to-heart shaped faces and works best for fine to medium, medium density straight hair types. A good dry texturizer or light paste will suffice for styling, plus it’s super quick. Keep in mind, shorter cuts need more color maintenance due to how quickly the grow out becomes noticeable.

#27 Short Gray Pixie with Soft Textured Layers
This style places emphasis on the gray and the gray has plenty to say. By adding softer layers, it adds dimension and works beautifully with fine hair because movement is added to keep it interesting without over thinning. Softer layers also help frame the face and the added length means that the hair can be left to its own devices and will require little upkeep. In order for your hair to retain its shape and continue to look great, you may need to come in for trims more frequently than you expect. This is especially true for shorter cuts but each cut is quick and simple and the end result is the ability to walk around looking effortlessly put together.

#28 Short Layered Pixie with Soft Crown Volume
I have done a lot of pixie haircuts and the ones that really work all have the same thing in common. The layers at the crown aren’t trying to compensate for anything, and this one has that. The short layers create volume right where it needs to be, and the texturized finish keeps it feeling fresh and not over done. The light gray here surprises clients who were apprehensive about going lighter because it really compliments mature skin tones. If you stick to your trim schedule every four to five weeks, you will love this cut every single day in between.

#29 Short Layered Cut with Highlights Threaded Through
This coloring job shines, and the highlights placed here really draw the eye to the silver without creating too harsh of a contrast or regrowth lines. The layers also add to the movement and texture throughout the top. Overall the shape, and especially how it draws the eye up to the face, is something I love to see with short hair. A little bit of volumizing mousse worked through damp hair before drying, will help hold the style and give body that lasts all day. Shorter hair definitely requires more frequent shaping, but each appointment is quick, and you spend very little time styling at home, so it all balances out.

#30 Silver Layered Cut with Soft Texture at Medium Length
This cut has layered detailing on the nape which gives the rest of the cut a different movement. This adds softness and flow, and you wouldn’t achieve that with a cut that was a single length. The medium length gives you options generating the opportunity for a pull back, a down, or an up, and with this slight density, the airy quality of the layers is really maximised. The nature of this cut is low maintenance, but with fine hair, the texture spray is key because things will go limp and this will help.

#31 Layered Mid-Length with a Soft Fringe That Moves
The bangs/fringe elevate this style so much more than nice, it’s absolutely gorgeous! It’s feathery and face framing, without being too heavy and it blends into the layering so nicely, almost like it was done by accident. The mid length will give you that natural movement especially if you have fine to medium density hair. The layers will also add the perfect amount of volume through the crown. This type of cut is great the day you wash it, and great on day two with little to no effort. Just be sure to keep on top of the layering as the definition will loose the shape faster than you expect.

#32 Textured Bob with Layers That Keep Their Shape
I appreciate bobs that have a good right layer that can keep a style looking full without needing to restyle every morning. This one does just that. The layers are made so that volume is created around the middle and the medium length allows for easy working with straight hair and slightly wavy hair. If you want to push this look further, think about a gentle balayage to add depth and enhance the texture. Regular styling is great for a polished look, but even if you let it dry naturally, this will look intentional instead of neglected.

#33 Layered Curly Cut with Bangs That Frame Everything Perfectly
This is just one of the many curly cuts we adore for clients over 60. These layers provide a stunning curly look whilst keeping the original curl pattern. Soft bangs framing the face always look nice and can be defined or left a bit softer to go with the style. The length is perfect to give versatility for different occasions and sits just above the shoulders. A bit of product and manipulation is all that’s needed. It’s essential to use some kind of defining product to control any frizz, and remember a curl cream should be scrunched in when the hair is wet. The actual styling process will be so quick once you establish your routine!

#34 Short Layered Pixie with Textured Bangs and Real Personality
You can even see the fun nature of this cut in the pictures. The length is just above the ears and has textured bangs that frame and create fullness and movement to fine and medium hair. There is a youthful quality to the cut that suggests not trying to look younger but rather to a degree that is just right. With regular styling, the shape can be maintained and for those with thicker hair, a more relaxed layering is suggested to prevent too much bulk.

#35 Textured Jawline-Length Cut with Wispy Bangs
This haircut beautifully combines light and dark tones to create an overall lively effect. The hair touches the jawline for nice framing of the face, and the bangs are just wispy enough to add a touch, without the commitment of a full fringe. This cut is designed to give the volume and texture desired for fine to medium hair without looking overly done. Most mornings, you’ll only spend a few minutes styling it to maintain the shape, but it’ll be worth the time when you see it in the mirror. Just make sure to talk to your stylist about the tonal blending, as that is what will set this look off the most.

#36 Short Silver Cut with Textured Volume and Easy Energy
This cut has fun written all over it!nThe layers create a playful look that is a bit more modern and gives more volume and movement for styling.nI love the tussled texture that is styled to look lived-in. nThe light silver color really pulls it all together because the texture does all the work. nKeeping this cut looking fresh will require products and a bit of styling to keep it looking great. But this will be as low maintenance as it gets!

#37 Shoulder-Length Layers with Gentle Face-Framing
If someone says, “I just want my hair to look healthy and pretty and get out of my way” I would recommend this cut. The gentle layering adds movement and volume without needing a lot of styling. The universally flattering length at around shoulder level is long enough to make it a compromise. This approach adds real lift to fine and medium density hair because the layers create the look of thickness through movement. If you want a little more, some soft highlights would add more dimension without changing the overall look.

#38 Gray Bob with Layers That Open Up the Face
The layers on this bob are doing exactly what they should. They are drawing attention to her specific features. The layers create some openness around the area of the cheekbone and jaw. The medium length is easy and convenient to do and the texture creates volume without the use of too much product or heat. I like the shine on the gray, which makes it look more vibrant instead of dull. Regular trims keep the shape fresh and that is all this cut asks of you, which is part of the charm.

#39 Silver Pixie with Feathered Layers and Natural Movement
Short silver hair with feathered layers looks fantastic and photographs beautifully. The experience gets even better in person. No heat styling or products are needed for additional movement and volume, and the cut’s layers do all the work. Styles may be labeled low-maintenance, but they are rarely as deserving of the title as this one. Because of the feathering, this cut works for all face shapes. Most people with fine to medium hair can effortlessly achieve this shape naturally. Most of the time, you can air-dry and go. On those days, you might want to use a light styling spray to lift the hair, but it’s unlikely you’ll need much of it.

#40 Soft Layered Bob That Falls Just Right
I lost count with how many times I’ve done variations of this bob, and what works every time is the balance between layers and shape. Fine hair tends to fall out with too many layers, and with too few layers, fine hair tends to just hang. This one hits the sweet spot. The softness on the edges is flattering and elongating to the face. The cut lets the natural texture come through without any effort. If your hair tends to flatten, a volumizing product will maintain fullness throughout the day, but the cut itself does most of the work.

#41 Short Silver Pixie with Texture and Just Enough Edge
The cool pixie gives a great face framing effect because of its layers, and whether you style it right or just finger comb it, it looks great. The light silver color with layers is great and reflects light better than any darker color at that length. Good short cuts are always versatile and it works from brunch to evening plans. The only commitment here is regular trims, which should be done every 4-5 weeks, The daily styling is minimal, but it still always looks good.

#42 Layered Bob with Highlights That Add Quiet Dimension
The highlights on this bob enhance and compliment the natural gray tones and do not compete, which is much harder than it seems. The soft layers create volume and movement while the shape of the bob is ideal for framing the cheekbones. This is a contemporary style that appears clean, intentional, and put together. It is a low-maintenance style, although it does require regular trims because the layers are what provide structure to the cut, and once they grow out past a certain point, the entire silhouette will change.

#43 Textured Bob with Wispy Bangs and Airiness Throughout
Shoulder-skimming cuts with soft bangs look light and free. They can create a boost for fine to medium density hair because texture is added without it feeling heavy. The soft bangs on the sides provide some coverage, but not too much which is nice. If you’re a little scared about the soft bangs, starting with a haircut like this is good because the bangs blend so easily with the rest of the hair. It looks good for now, but if you want to take it a step further, a balayage would be awesome.

#44 Chin-Length Layered Bob with Face-Framing That Just Works
These face-framing layers create an illusion of the hair falling naturally. Having the chin length is versatile it can be tucked behind the ears or left down which looks great straight or with a slight wave. It looks good from all angles so you know it’s cut with the right proportion. Make sure to ask your stylist about layers every time you go, because with fine hair too many layers can thin the hair out more than you would like.

#45 Soft Layered Cut Just Below the Chin with Gentle Texture
The subtle waves in this haircut create a breezy and vibrant aesthetic, while the layers provide enough depth to make fine to medium-weight hair appear more voluminous. Sitting just above the chin, the length frames the face in a most complimentary manner and combined with the soft texture encourages a no-style, good hair day look.

#46 Silver Pixie with Textured Layers and Clean Lines
The details in this pixie demonstrate how layered textures can create volume and movement without becoming messy or losing purpose. For optimal results, fine to medium density hair will work best as maintenance will be easier with a shorter length, and daily styling will be a breeze. This hairstyle is universally advantageous; it suggests a revision to the critique to provide a more individualized correction. The face shape is modified without substantial changes to the remaining elements. More frequent trims are a trade-off for the daily appearance; however, each appointment is brief and you are saving time each morning.

#47 Silver Shoulder-Length Layers with Soft Waves
Waves and layers make this mid-length cut shimmer instead of look dull. The layers offer a light volume that works with fine hair. The style also offers versatility to various face shapes. Going silver is a lot of commitment to maintenance and will come with a lot of upkeep, but this length is refined enough for it to be worth the effort. If you’ve been thinking about going silver, this style is a gorgeous option.

#48 Short Layered Cut with Texture That Stays Put
The best part about this haircut is because of the texture, it won’t look overstyled. That means the layers do all the structural work, and you are just adding some touches. This method gives real volume to fine hair, and the face-framing is nice and subtle. Highlights will add dimension and brightness, and short hair means you will spend little on product and little time. Keep to your trim schedule and this haircut will be one of the greatest high reward low effort choices you make.

#49 Short Layered Cut with Airy Layers and Easy Warmth
The gentle movement from the layers is quite impressive. It creates the illusion of a soft breeze blowing through the room. Those who have fine, medium-density hair will appreciate this the most because the volume-adding precision of the layers will not be thinning at all. It is quite flattering and easy to take care of. All it needs is a regular trim. If you want to warm the hair up a bit, soft highlights blended through the top will give a sun-kissed look any time of year.

#50 Soft Layered Bob with Gentle Waves That Stay
This hairstyle can be modified and used for many different situations. The length is perfect for framing faces and includes layering to give the hair fullness. This is great especially because of the issues that fine hair presents. The layering provides more control and is styled to look more natural. This is good because when it looks styled, it means the cut is doing it’s job. This kind of cut needs the least amount of attention to the hair. This is perfect for people who have very busy lives. To keep the hair looking full, it can be styled with some kind of hair product, ideally a serum. Also, some hair product can be used to accentuate the waves for a more styled look.
