51 Hottest Haircuts for Women Over 60 in 2026

A few years back, I had a customer, in her sixties, and she came in with a magazine article showing a hair style for someone in their twenties. She seemed embarrassed by her choice and thought that she had to apologize for wanting something stylish. It was particularly bothersome to me that she felt this way. In fact, in the last two years, the best haircuts I’ve done have been on women over sixty. These women don’t want to chase an image of themselves from three decades ago. They want a haircut that feels right.

I’ve also been extremely pleased with the gradual reduction of the norms surrounding women and their hairstyles. I’m looking forward to the styles for 2026. I’m looking forward to the movement, liveliness and ease of hair that will come with those styles. Some will require a lot of upkeep, but plenty will be low maintenance too. It’s perfectly fine that not every style will appeal to every individual. It’s the goal to offer a range of styles to ensure that every customer is able to choose from something other than a single one ‘tasteful’ bob or a variation of it that is repeated forty times.

#1: Espresso Bob with a Side Part and Flicked Ends

It’s easy to achieve and that adds to its charm. This style is clean and smart while the rich warm brown colour is perfectly balanced, not too black or too flat. The ends are great as they help to ensure the whole look is not too stiff and polished. It is best for hair types that have some natural movement, whether completely straight or just a bit wavy. The face framing layers are super soft, so you won’t have to think about whether your face shape is right for this. Just a few drops of shine serum through the ends will help a lot since the main point of that espresso tone is the way it captures light.

Soft Chestnut Face-Framing Shoulder-Length Layers

#2 Chestnut Layers with a Soft Curtain Fringe

Shoulder length hair with a few layers to frame the face and a curtain bang that gently breaks the forehead with soft feathered ends to avoid heaviness. A warm chestnut color with some low lights gives depth without trying to cover every grey. Good color work with smart thinking because the root-smudge will hide the regrowth, which is important to warm tones. It moves good with fine to medium hair. I’ll be honest though, if your hair is flat, to get this to hold you will need a round brush blow out or some root lift spray. It just sits without that.

Airy Short Pixie with Feathered Crown and Wispy Micro-Fringe

#3 Airy Pixie with Feathered Crown and Wispy Micro-Fringe

This site is one of the best I’ve seen, I really appreciate the effort that’s gone into it. The crown layers look to be around an inch and a half to two inches, with pretty close side tapers, and the point cut ends look nice and broken up so the cut won’t look too helmety. The micro fringe is really just off centre as a little curtain, which I think helps to soften the forehead without fully covering it with bangs, and is done really nicely. This will definitely need to be done by someone with a steady hand because everything is so precise, and the maintenance will be every 5 to 6 weeks. If you want length at the nape or something you can tuck behind your ears, this isn’t the cut for you. However, if you have fine to medium hair that’s straight, this cut will give you an effortless lift that longer styles just won’t replicate.

Textured Copper Micro-Bang with Jaw-to-Shoulder Face-Framing Layers

#4 Copper Micro-Bang with Jaw-to-Shoulder Layers

Micro bangs are really short bangs that sit lightly over the brows and won’t fully cover the face. The swing also has layers that frame your face and reach from the jaw to the shoulders. If you have a soft wave or a cowlick at the crown, this cut encourages that instead of working against it. I won’t lie and say that copper is easy to maintain, but it is a stunning color. Almost no other color fades as quickly as copper does. You’ll need demi-permanent glosses to keep it from washing out. The bangs need to be shaped fairly precisely to sit right. If they’re too heavy, they’ll look blunt. If they’re too thin, they’ll just disappear. All of these elements come together to create a lovely mix of soft and modern.

Short Feathered Pixie with Crown Lift and Soft Micro-Texture

#5 Short Feathered Pixie with Crown Lift

Here is another Pixie and this one focuses on the crown. Lift is given where most women over sixty value it most from the graduated layers on top, and the tapered nape holds everything in without looking harsh. The lived in, piecey texture is created from point cutting and light razor work. I think this is best for straight to slightly wavy hair as it makes it soft and pliable without sticking out at this length. It is advised to have some of the crown styling paste along for most mornings to give it a little definition, but not too much as you don’t want it to feel heavy. The diagonal tip slicing at the front really stands out. It manages a cowlick on the right side quite well and turns what would be an issue into a nice movement.

Textured Copper Short Shag with Asymmetric Fringe

#6 Copper Textured Shag with Asymmetric Fringe

The shag is chin length with an asymmetric fringe which really stands out. She has layered bangs that are point cut at the crown and face the crown to keep it soft rather than choppy. It’s a super interesting color combo. She has warm copper as a base and cool berry as a highlight. This adds richness to the color instead of just plain copper. The texture is easy to air dry which is great. Not every style needs a round brush finish. However, copper is a warm and bold color so it will need some brass neutralizing. You will need to use a brass neutralizing shampoo once a week. The fringe is going to need some shaping and maintenance so you will need to grab your scissors. It’s a small amount of time.

Warm Chestnut Rounded Bob with Subtle Crown Lift

#7 Warm Chestnut Rounded Bob with Crown Lift

We can do a chin-length bob with some layers so that you get a bit of volume without the need for a lot of teasing and product build-up. The edges will sit softly so the weight line sits just below the jaw, and this is one of the things that makes bobs look more polished instead of blunt. To cover your greys without looking like you just dyed your hair, a warm single process chestnut with some lowlights will work well, and the bevel will help to soften your jawline in a flattering and not too obvious way. If you have really coarse hair, you might be fighting the inward flick every morning so just something to consider. If you’re thinning at the temples, you may need some subtle layering there with a volumising mousse to keep that area from looking too sparse and the sides from looking too flat.

Auburn Feathered Mid-Length Cut with Soft Curtain Fringe and Crown Lift

#8 Auburn Feathered Mid-Length with Curtain Fringe

I like this cut because it gives off that effortless vibe but done so much! The slide cut ends and feathers keep the mid lengths light. The short face frame layers & curtain bangs open up the face. Plus there’s just the right amount of crown graduation to give you lift without looking “styled”. The warm auburn colour is forgiving with regrowth and blended root shadow, and I spotted a few natural silvers left in the bangs which is clever since silvers, make the grow out look intentional. Fringe trims need to be every 3-4 weeks at best and if your hair is really fine you will need a root lift product otherwise the crown will be flat by midday.

Chestnut Rounded Bob with Wispy Micro-Bangs and Subtle Crown Stack

#9 Chestnut Rounded Bob with Wispy Micro-Bangs

We styled some undercurls and gentle crown lifts using internal stacking, along with some shallow perimeter bevels and point cutting. This is a chin-length bob with soft micro bangs. This style is great for medium to fine straight hair, specifically for an oval face shape. The lowlight gloss blended with grey creates an elegant way to hide grey hairs without having to color the hair. This option is great for when more natural silver hairs start coming in. The bangs will need some styling each day, but in some cases, you may need to perform a root lift to keep them from falling flat. Overall, the detail framing around the neck is very clean, and we love the detail here!

Sleek Chocolate Mid-Length Lob with Long Face-Framing Layers

#10 Sleek Chocolate Lob with Long Face-Framing Layers

This style features a collarbone-skimming lob which has a subtle inward bevel, with longer layers round the face for framing. Saying this style is easy, but the details make or break the haircut. The cut has lots of specific requirements so that it doesn’t look like an overgrown haircut, so seeking your stylist specifically trained for this cut is a must. The shadow root is the best option for blending with easy regrowth, and the darker brunette color will be less obvious when it grows out. This style will look good on straight hair of medium density. It will require a some upkeep, including a round brush, heat, and maybe some product, because of course this can’t be a wash and wear cut. If you have fine, straggly, or split ends, you can get a cleaner finish by asking your stylist to leave the edges a bit shaggy. We also like this style with a hint of silver just at the part, giving a great color contrast like a highlight.

Copper Textured Shag with Wispy Micro-Bangs and Crown Lift

#11 Copper Textured Shag with Wispy Micro-Bangs

This style is a chin-length copper shag which continues to work on women in their sixties with fine to medium hair. The point-cutting and shorter interior layering that goes all the way around the top of the head, boosts the hair nicely, and if you have a crown whorl, this cut leans into it for volume rather than trying to flatten it. The micro bangs do not cover the forehead which is nice, and help to frame the eyes. I appreciate this in copper but the maintenance is certainly not easy. Vivid copper requires consistent glazing to look fresh, and the micro bangs necessitate some precise and regular trims. You cannot just let them grow out and hope for the best.

Warm Copper Shoulder-Length Layers with Feathered Fringe

#12 Warm Copper Shoulder-Length Layers with Feathered Fringe

This hair style is colored a warm copper and is shoulder length with vertical point cutting for more airy ends. Micro-razor texturing has been put through the mid sections to allow for more bulk in that area. I love this on women with glasses because the feathered texture and face frames work with the glasses instead of against them. A root shadow will help to extend the time in between colors which is a plus because copper and red tones fade the fastest. If you have a crown cowlick, make sure your stylist layers around it instead of cutting against it.

Soft Side-Swept Textured Chin-Length Bob

#13 Side-Swept Textured Chin-Length Bob

A chin length bob with a side swept fringe and soft internal point cut layers features longer hair at the front in a blended style. The fine to medium density hair with a slight natural wave and lower density means careful razor texturizing and shadow root techniques are vital in managing fullness. A side sweep also provides additional coverage at the temples which is where thinning is seen first in women. Daily styling will be required to get the side sweep to sit right and not air dried but it won’t be a long time needed in the morning as a brush is all that is required.

Soft Copper Stacked Bob with Side-Swept Fringe

#14 Soft Copper Stacked Bob with Side-Swept Fringe

We have here a neck length stacked bob, and it is the interior graduation that brings the rounded silhouette and crown volume that makes finer to medium hair appear as though it has double the density. The deep side swept fringe is dramatic and not fussy, while the convex perimeter holds the shape nice and clean at the jaw. Copper is a brilliant choice here as it warms the skin, although a subtle root smudge will be necessary to maintain depth as it grows out. Rounded brush blow outs will take this from good to really polished and it’s one of those cuts where precision makes all the difference, so go to someone you know who is really good with graduated cutting.

Feathered Shoulder-Length Layers with Soft Curtain Fringe

#15 Feathered Shoulder-Length Layers with Curtain Fringe

Shoulder length hair with feathered layers and a gentle curtain fringe along with internal crown gradation. The razor feathered tips and extended point cut layers add a lightness to the style, and that is the whole purpose of having layers at this length, because if not, you may as well just have a single length cut. Subtle baby lights with a soft root smudge offer believable depth to the blonde that isn’t painted. Here, a small crown cowlick is utilized to enhance the lift at the top and that is the way to go. A round brush blow dry or heated styling tools and some root lift at the base will be absolutely necessary to achieve this, so take that into consideration when deciding if this will fit your morning routine.

Root-Blended Layered Bob with Face-Framing Fringe and Crown Lift

#16 Root-Blended Layered Bob with Fringe and Crown Lift

I appreciate the combination of silvery roots and warm blonde because it looks more intentional than a single block of color. The mixture of light and dark with the low lights, combined with point cutting, creates movement and is great for fine to medium wave texture in the hair. This style should require minimal effort. To maintain shape, a light hold styling product is important and some work should be done to the ends to avoid them being too heavy. The ends will have periodic maintenance to keep the shape and to avoid the ends from being too heavy; this will be necessary, but it will be worth it to achieve the desired end result.

Rounded Blonde Stacked Bob with Long Side-Swept Fringe

#17 Rounded Blonde Stacked Bob with Side-Swept Fringe

This hairstyle features a chin-length round bob with a stacked back, inward bevels, and a long side-swept fringe. This style has something called interior graduation which gives the style some volume. This look also has what is called root shadowing, and the blend of low lights to soften grey without layering solid colors. This is a very polished and clean haircut which also means it will need daily maintenance to keep up the style. For this shape, a blowout with a round brush is necessary. If you like to air dry your hair and just go, this haircut isn’t for you. Also, the inward bevel will not look the same on very tight curls, coarse hair, or textured hair because the bevel relies on hair that wants to cooperate.

Sunlit Layered Shoulder-Length Shag with Curtain Fringe

#18 Sunlit Layered Shoulder-Length Shag with Curtain Fringe

This hairstyle hits the shag with curtain bangs style with just the right length, slight inward bevel, and interior layers finishing off the look. It visually looks lightweight and moves freely with fine to medium hair types. Diagonal point cutting is a great technique to keep the ends looking a bit rough and a bit soft around the face. The stylist has worked with the crown cowlick here to give volume instead of fighting against it, which is always a good option. The bangs will be the most high maintenance. You are going to have to push them off to one side while they’re wet or they will air dry and separate in the wrong position. If you don’t wish to create a lot of space at the ends then watch out about over texturizing because it can look sparse at the perimeter.

Feathered Copper Pixie with Voluminous Crown

#19 Feathered Copper Pixie with Voluminous Crown

This design shows a short feathered pixie cut with raised crown and side bangs who have point cut interior layers and are all bathed in copper color. For women in their 60s with an oval face and wavy hair of fine to medium texture, this design instantly adds height while the framing of the hair around the eyes is very beautiful. The micro feathered edging and root shadowing at the back of the hair, makes freshly grown hair look less neglected and more natural and this is very important with bright shades like copper because they show up very quickly. If your hair is coarse, then this cut may not sit quite as nicely at this length and it will tend to stick out rather than lying with the soft airy look as you see in this photograph so if this seems to be the case with your hair then you should certainly think of going a bit longer.

Light Blonde Chin-Length Bob with Curtain Fringe and Inward Bevel

#20 Light Blonde Chin-Length Bob with Curtain Fringe

This style is a chin length bob with a straight across heavy perimeter and some curtain bangs with a slight internal graduation that causes a gentle, subtle inward motion at the jawline. The blunt finish gives thickness, which is a real plus on finer to medium hair, as hair of that type can make the whole cut appear thin. If you have a slight crown cowlick, consider it a bonus here, because it gives some natural volume at the crown without needing to put in a lot of effort. The root melt is a nice brightness to grey hair. Bangs will need trimming every 3ish weeks, and for very thin or frizzy hair textures, a bit more internal layering may be needed to achieve the shape.

Chin-Length Copper Shag with Micro Fringe and Feathered Perimeter

#21 Chin-Length Copper Shag with Micro Fringe

Consider a chin-length shag with a micro fringe and feathered edging, done in a bold copper. The internal graduation and razor-point cutting techniques create lift at the crown, while a copper streak that is lighter at the part creates dimension and prevents the color from looking one-dimensional. This is a fun and slightly edgy style that is still very wearable for everyday life. The only thing I would mention is that a micro fringe can shorten the look of the forehead, so if yours is already on the smaller side, you may want the fringe to be a little longer. Also, as I’ve said many times, bold copper colors are high maintenance. If you are not going to do a glaze every couple of weeks, the color will drift to a muddy gold, which will not do the cut justice.

Textured Warm Blonde Pixie-Bob with Feathered Layers

#22 Warm Blonde Textured Pixie-Bob with Feathered Layers

This cut features jaw-length bobs with feathered layers and point cut texturizing. This is the perfect length that gives a bold feeling while still keeping some versatility. The slice texturizing helps lift the crown area and manages a subtle cowlick. The root shadow lowlights blend grays in a soft and natural way. For this look, a light hold paste will define the cut. With some extra care to tone down any brassiness, this cut is very low maintenance and is even feasible to air dry and go. The ideal hair type for this style is fine to medium textured waves.

Cropped Silver Textured Pixie with Micro Fringe and Feathered Crown

#23 Cropped Silver Pixie with Micro Fringe

Let’s get a very short cropped pixie haircut, a micro fringe, a feathered crown, and soft tapered nape. Your hair is fine to medium density, mostly straight, and has a clockwise cowlick at the crown which makes it lift nicely. I would do razor texturing on the top and point cut the ends to create some separation. This will really open up your face and make your eyes pop. The cool platinum-silver is gorgeous and will need some light purple glossing to keep it from going yellow. A lightweight texture paste would be helpful to stop it from lying too flat against your head. I will say that the tiny fringe can draw attention to forehead lines which some may find bothersome. Some woman love the look while others hate the feeling of being exposed, and that is something we should consider before going ahead with this hairstyle.

Classic Blunt Chin-Length Bob with Soft Interior Graduation

#24 Classic Blunt Chin-Length Bob

This style features chin-length blunt bobs with soft internal layers. I particularly enjoy this style because of its versatility. It is extremely easy to style, and I find this cut flattering for nearly every face shape, from oval to heart. I find that this cut works best for hair that is either straight or slightly wavy, and medium to fine in density. The internal layers, along with the gentle shaping around the nape of the neck, create a rounded shape and so I think it is fairly crucial that your stylist knows how to round this cut rather than just leave it blunt. This style typically shows more thinning than others around the crown, so if you’re concerned about that be sure to discuss with your stylist whether additional layers or a volumizing technique are needed to achieve more volume in this area.

Stylish Silver Bob with Soft Layers

#25 Silver Bob with Soft Layers

This is a timeless and sophisticated look sure to match the right individual. A look like this with a silver bob is amazing with the gentle layers that drape the face. The volume from the layered cut also makes fine and medium hair look busy and nice. Silver tones reflecting the brightness of the complexion is simply great. If you are beginning to accept your natural grey this style looks more intentional than transitional. Shorter layered styles require more frequent trims than you think to maintain the shape. Softer shades will change in tone, so keep that in mind with your toner choice.

Elegant Silver Bob with Soft Waves

#26 Silver Bob with Soft Waves

This hairdo is just above the shoulders with soft waves on a silver base. The subtle layering keeps the hair full while adding some movement. This is a length that can easily be pulled back partially or all the way down. This look is great for heart and oval face shapes. The waves help with the sophistication and for more texture without too much effort. This will need to be maintained about every six weeks but bobs of this length especially will be more low maintenance. Some styling and upkeep will be required but it will be easy to maintain.

Textured Soft Layered Pixie with Subtle Highlights

#27 Textured Soft Layered Pixie with Subtle Highlights

This type of layered texture adds volume and movement to fine hair. Short lengths open the face and work especially well for oval and heart shapes. These highlights add dimension and brightness around the face. This cut is best for medium density hair, as there is enough to support the layers without going flat. This cut will require regular styling to maintain its shape. A quick blow-dry is all that is needed to style; you can use your fingers or a small brush to achieve the desired look. A pixie cut will limit your ability to pull your hair up or change your look.

Chic Silver Bob with Soft Face-Framing Layers

#28 Silver Bob with Soft Face-Framing Layers

This haircut sits just above the shoulders and has silver highlights woven throughout the hair. The layers create movement and add to the cut without it looking choppy. The way the gradient weaves in and out of the hair makes the silver hair shine. The best type of hair to achieve this look is fine hair with medium density. It is also low maintenance and does not require much product to style. The layers also help to give lift to the hair, so it doesn’t fall flat. To maintain the shape of the cut, you’ll probably need to get trims every five to six weeks. When the layers grow out, the silhouette of the cut will change, so the shape will change quite a bit. Personally, I really like how it looks clean and fresh. I also think it looks really good in photos.

Chic Short Textured Pixie with Subtle Highlights

#29 Short Textured Pixie with Subtle Highlights

For how low-maintenance it is, this haircut is one of the best options available. Being a super short, texturized pixie cut, it doesn’t get much more low-maintenance than this. The highlights help the hair look less dull and gray, making it look more like gray hair that’s intentional and interesting. The added texture on this cut gives the hair some volume so it won’t lie flat. People with oval and heart-shaped faces will benefit most from this haircut. If your hair is super thick, you will likely need to get extra internal layering with this cut so it doesn’t look bulky. While it does alter the appearance a little bit, the right hair type allows for this style to maintain that wash-and-go type of look where you can just throw in some product and be on your way.

Classic Rounded Bob with Soft Bangs

#30 Classic Rounded Bob with Soft Bangs

This chin-length rounded bob sits beautifully on top of the bangs while also having that timeless ability to be flexible to any time period which I think is a huge plus. Not to mention, the bangs help to frame the face without too much coverage, and the rounded shape gives fine hair the fullness it lacks. The angled bob is softened around the face, so it is ideal for heart and oval face shapes. Fine hair is going to need a volumizing product to help support the body during the day, as the shape does support a little lift at the crown and sides. The only downside is that styling does take a little time, as you’re going to need to do a quick blow dry with a round brush to achieve that look.

Chic Wavy Mid-Length Cut with Soft Layers

#31 Wavy Mid-Length Cut with Soft Layers

This hairstyle features layers of medium length, and soft, mid-length waves that begin in the middle and end in the lower sections of the hair. These layers that frame the face open up the look quite a bit for oval and heart-shaped faces, and the waves provide volume and texture for fine hair which is often absent. The look will require some daily styling effort to keep those waves looking fresh. A lightweight mousse, and a large barrel iron or diffuser will help achieve the look. If you do not want to put in that effort most mornings, the cut still looks great with natural, air-dried waves. Just different. If you want to take it a step further, subtle highlights through the layers would enhance the dimension.

Warm Auburn Long Layered Cut with Subtle Face Framing

#32 Warm Auburn Long Layers with Face Framing

Shoulder length hair with layers opens up the face with warmth and softness. Good option for those that want to keep the length for a bit but want more shape and movement to the style. Good layers will enhance the texture of the hair whether it be straight with a bend, wavy, or whatever natural texture you have. This works well for medium to fine hair since the layers won’t be thinned out too much. This style requires maintenance to keep the split ends from creeping up and more frequent trims than if you were to have a shorter haircut.

Chic Textured Bob with Subtle Highlights

#33 Textured Bob with Subtle Highlights

A bob haircut that’s layered to frame your face and some subtle highlights is ideal for you. The highlights will brighten the color and the movement will add nice structure. The good thing about this look is that it works for most face shapes. I find that most hair cuts don’t have this broad range of adaptability but a bob with good layering suits most. This look is most suited for fine to medium density hair. The shape will look best with regular maintenance, but in between trims, a light mousse will add great texture. This look also requires very little effort.

Textured Golden Pixie with Soft Volume

#34 Golden Textured Pixie with Soft Volume

Fine hair can benefit from a softly layered volumetric pixie styled with a light golden blonde color. The warm tones looks great with the highlights that add dimension. This kind of length looks good on face shapes like heart and oval. Maintenance is required to keep the shape and blonde looking fresh, a toner visit every couple weeks will be required to keep it from looking brassy. For blending in any greys that may be coming in, a subtle root color will provide depth and keep the look dimensional.

Chic Textured Short Cut with Subtle Layers

#35 Textured Short Cut with Subtle Layers

The hair is cut short at the back and sides while the top is left longer and layered for added volume and is probably styled for texture to create a modern look and to avoid a more conservative appearance. Maintenance is kept to a minimum as long as the cut is set up well, although it may depend on the hair density. This style would suit fine to medium density most, but is ideal for oval and heart-shaped faces. To maintain a look of intentionality to the style rather than a disheveled appearance it may be necessary to do some styling, but we’re talking a couple of minutes worth or even less than a full routine. Remember that the look is a result of a great cut rather than a product or technique.

Softly Textured Short Cut with Subtle Highlights

#36 Softly Textured Short Cut with Highlights

Soft layers give movement and volume to hair while subtle highlights add dimension. A shorter length will frame the face beautifully. Fine to medium hair gets the most because the layers will actually be able to do their job without the hair being too heavy to move. This is best suited for ov and heart shapes. To achieve the “effortless” look it will require some styling. One of those hair contradictions that no one talks about, the more “effortless” a cut looks, the more work it actually is. All you need is a lightweight mousse for added volume.

Modern Textured Bob with Gentle Face-Framing Layers

#37 Modern Textured Bob with Face-Framing Layers

A bob haircut with soft layers will make your hair feel more voluminous and will give your hair some movement. Lots of people are looking for what some might call a “compromise haircut.” This is when they want something modern and new but still don’t want to go for a look that is too adventurous or structured. When you want to show off the layers and give the haircut some nice shape, volume, and bounce, you can use a blow dryer and round brush to help with this. In order to have the shape maintained, you will need to keep up with your trim appointments because growing out the layers will cause a loss of shape throughout the haircut.

Textured Shoulder-Length Cut with Subtle Highlights

#38 Textured Shoulder-Length Cut with Highlights

This shoulder-length hairstyle will work wonders with soft layers and subtle highlights that brighten the face. Movement in this style comes from the layers. For fine to medium hair, layers create a sense of fullness that flat, one-length cuts just won’t achieve. This style flatters oval and heart-shaped faces, and some styling time to maintain the texture is required. The result is a polished look without feeling overdone. If you want something that is versatile and still has personality, this is a solid choice.

Classic Blunt Bob with Soft Highlights

#39 Classic Blunt Bob with Soft Highlights

Timeless hairstyles include blunt bobs. Soft highlights will add dimension and fullness when paired with fine hair. The ideal look is straight or slightly wavy hair with a medium to high density for that satisfying weight. A blunt cut does show texture more than a layered cut, so if your hair is on the dry and/or frizzy side, conditioning is a must. Smoothing conditioner is best to keep hair nice and sleek without sacrificing volume. The reason this look never goes out of style is that it’s clean, elegant, and classic.

Soft Curly Short Cut with Natural Volume

#40 Soft Curly Short Cut with Natural Volume

This haircut would honestly look best with some natural waves or curls that you have been straightening since it works with your natural hair texture. This haircut and style gives soft layers some bulk to spring the curls to keep them from looking wild. This look works best with fine to medium density hair. You will have to do some humidity maintenance with the style but actual styling will be minimal once you get your products adjusted to your texture. Compared to the straight styles dominating this list it looks like a breath of fresh air.

Softly Layered Shoulder-Length Cut with Natural Highlights

#41 Softly Layered Shoulder-Length with Natural Highlights

Soft highlights combined with shoulder-length layers work wonderfully for adding natural texture and dimension. This cut best suits medium and thick hair since there will be enough weight to hold the layers (and not make the ends look thin) overall. The framing layers also look good on oval and heart-shaped faces. This cut offers flexibility with styling whether you want a polished look or something more relaxed. Fine hair can also pull off this cut! Be sure to use a volumizing product to help your hair hold the shape so the layers don’t fall flat.

Textured Short Crop with Soft Volume

#42 Textured Short Crop with Soft Volume

This style has soft volume on the crown and has fun, tousled texture. It’s super low-maintenance, and it works well with every face shape. The soft grey tones here fit the look perfectly. Fine hair works best for this, as the short length means the hair can’t fall flat, and with fine hair, the also means that gravity isn’t working against you. Your cut will look best with some maintenance every four to five weeks, and if you want to, you can add some subtle color to keep it looking fresh, but it looks good without that too.

Stylish Classic Bob with Soft Layers

#43 Classic Bob with Soft Layers

This bob features soft layers and a gentle wave that adds volume and movement to the hair. This style is super versatile and flattering on almost everyone. I know that sounds cliche, but some hairstyles just have the right proportions, and this bob is one of them. It works especially well on oval and heart face shapes, but I’ve also seen it on round and square face shapes with the right layer placement. It works best on hair of medium density with some natural movement, so consider a contouring balayage for added movement and depth. Just keep in mind that lighter colors will require more maintenance. The best part about this haircut is that it is effortless and timeless.

Chic Textured Bob with Side Bangs

#44 Textured Bob with Side Bangs

For framing bangs, you can choose a medium textured bob. The bangs give a nice frame to the face. They also give volume to finer hair, which allows for a more structured look. This length is more versatile, as it can work for more casual styles as well as more formal ones. It’s particularly flattering on oval and heart-shaped faces. The bob will be more of a commitment, as maintenance trims will be needed to keep the shape. Most people find that side bangs start to look messy once they grow past a certain point, so that is something to keep in mind as well. Styling will be very easy, and the look will always feel polished and on trend.

Warm Copper Wavy Lob with Soft Layers

#45 Warm Copper Wavy Lob with Soft Layers

This look features a warm copper wavy lob with soft layers that add movement and frame the face. Because it’s medium length, you have the versatility to wear the waves, or style it by curling or straightening it. The layering done on fine to medium density hair creates an illusion of more hair. The warm copper shade is flattering to the skin tone of certain complexions. Wavy textures can take some time to style as you will want to spend some time defining the waves in the relaxed look. Even air dried, it looks relaxed and will have that effortless quality.

Soft Textured Lob with Face-Framing Layers

#46 Soft Textured Lob with Face-Framing Layers

The lob with layers is one of my favorite styles! Getting a subtle balayage gives a little dimension and life to your hair. For all lengths, this style is great, especially for fine to medium hair, as the layers add volume without being too bulky. This gives an overall polished and effortless look!

Although there won’t be a ton of upkeep with this style, the balayage will require maintenance to keep the tones fresh and the placement intentional. The layers will also need regular trims to keep their shape. This style is super easy to manage between appointments, and it also looks really good in natural light!

Modern Textured Pixie with Soft Bangs

#47 Modern Textured Pixie with Soft Bangs

Fine hair that is shorter in the back and longer in the front works great with a textured pixie haircut! Gentle bangs that rest around the cheekbones, are perfectly placed for a great face framing effect. This sort of pixie cut will help have your hair looking a lot denser because of the many layers and the added texture. Expect to come in for trims every four to five weeks so that your cut looks precise, and the shape stays balanced. The good thing is that you will not need to spend a lot of time on styling this haircut! This is the right cut for you if you want minimal styling effort, while still looking really good!

Textured Mid-Length Shag with Soft Layers

#48 Textured Mid-Length Shag with Soft Layers

Shag cuts are suitable for all face shapes. It’s ideal for fine to medium hair types since the framing layers will give softness to the look without being too styled. Shags also look great when they grow out. They appear somewhat undone, which is a sign designed to look that way. This means the grow out period is less awkward than a more structured cut. With shag cuts, it won’t be as big of a deal if you skip your trim as split ends are less noticeable and overall maintenance is reasonable.

Chic Textured Pixie with Soft Layers

#49 Textured Pixie with Soft Layers

Light grey pixie textured cut, with soft layers which adds volume and movement. This style is perfect for fine to medium density hair. It gives a nice modern look without being too edgy. This length is also most flattering on oval and heart-shaped faces. I think the amount of daily upkeep gets overlooked with most pixie cuts, and this style is certainly no different. The good news is that the upkeep and styling is super quick, and can all be done within a few minutes with just a brush and blow dryer or some styling paste and your fingers.

Textured Silver Pixie with Soft Layers

Short and silvery, this hairstyle has soft layers for added volume and movement. The highlights break up texture and add depth to what could read as flat grey. Texture is fresh and modern. Suitable for fine to medium hair and oval and heart face shapes. Regular styling is recommended to keep the effortless look intentional. Maintenance is typical for pixies; a trim every 4-5 weeks and occasional toning to keep the silver bright.

A pixie haircut with layers will give a rounded effect. This style is very easy to maintain, which is another reason why women enjoy it. The layers create texture, volume, and movement to fine hair, and it fits oval and heart shaped faces. While short hair does require more maintenance to keep the shape, expect to go in every 4 weeks, as this will have minimal hair maintenance, and you will get to enjoy the look of being styled and intentional with virtually no daily effort.
