The soft layers create movement without too much chaos. A little bit of styling cream through the ends will keep your layers from looking too stringy, which is the biggest risk that this cut poses to fine hair. It’ll probably be one of the more boring styles, but it’ll likely also be one of the more ‘happy to have’ haircuts, and that’s what really matters.

The top layers are sufficiently textured to look lived-in, rather than just-left-the-salon, which is what you want with a pixie cut. Cuts that are too polished or shellacked look more aging than the haircut itself. Regular trims are important, probably every four to five weeks, as it where to hide when the shape starts growing out at this length.
