Looking back years ago I had a client who had “never done anything” with her dark hair. What she didn’t realize is that her natural hair color had several different tones! We could have spent hours looking at her hair under different lighting conditions… Window light, salon lights, phone flashlights… you name it. I believe that more people should appreciate darker hues and browns. The magic of a great color appointment is to find and highlight all of the underlying colors that already exists in a persons hair!
Here is my thought process for each look. Some are less complicated and more domestic than others which feel more of an estrangement. They are all valid and worth considering, but ultimately it’s about what resonates with you. Brunette color is not about hiding what you possess. It’s about revealing the iteration of it that is the most true to you.
#1: Inky Brunette with Cobalt Glow
I like that it’s not shy. The foundation shade is a deep brunette that is so inky, it’s almost black.
