The first time I heard someone say “brunette is boring”, I was leaning over a chair holding a bowl of captivating espresso glaze and thought, you clearly have not seen what brown hair can do. The spectrum of possibilities for brunette hair is huge, and fall is when it gets to shine the most. The warm light, the richer earthy colored clothing, and the way everything around you changes to earthy tones transforms brown hair to look stunning.
What I enjoy about autumn and working with brunettes is that you are not achieving a bare look. You are adding to the warmth and depth already present in the hair. The only question is how far do you want to go? Some of my clients desire the smaller changes to feel different when they look in the mirror. I think this cut is super versatile and can work for a lot of different people. I will say that layers as active as this will need frequent maintenance to keep that shape because as they grow out the layers can start to lose that intentional bounce and become a lot of bulk. But when they are fresh like this it’s the kind of hair that makes you feel amazing when you walk down the street.
