It has been a GREAT hair week and we have been inspired by a number of fabulous looks from some of our favorite celebrities. The best thing about these hairstyles is that they are 100% achievable – no celebrity status required!
Zooey Deschanel mesmerized us with her classic rendition of the National Anthem earlier this week at Game 4 of the World Series. She also mesmerized us with her gorgeous mess of dark curls pinned easily back for a simple, half up half down style. Get this look by curling hair with a 1-1 1/2″ curling iron from just above mid shaft down to the ends. Loosen the curls with your fingers, tease hair a bit at the crown, pin up the sides with a fun clip and voila!
Julianne Hough is the latest celebrity to jump on the lob (long bob) hairstyle bandwagon. Although we loved her long locks, it is great to see a fresh, shorter (but not too short) cut on Julianne. Her easy side-parted curls added just the right amount of volume to this style. If you have natural wave in your hair, then this look is a cinch to get with your favorite volumizing and texturizing product. No wave? Wrap ends around a 1″ curling iron to create your own waves and enhance with product. We can’t wait to see what else she does with this cut!
Salma Hayek recently debuted a shorter layered hairstyle with lovely fall highlights. Again, we loved Salma’s longer locks but are even more in love with this perfect medium style. Her long layers are enhanced by the pretty fall ombre colored ends. If you are looking for a versatile medium haircut that can be easily styled with a blow dryer and a round brush, this is the look for you!
