25 Must-See Wavy Lobs with Bangs Set to Be Huge in 2026

If you are thinking about a wavy lob with bangs, and you aren’t sure if it will work with your hair texture or face shape, you are not alone as it’s a common question. This style is on the borderline of a lot of lengths, and with the right layers, it can look casual, light and effortless, but it can also look heavy and bulky.
The other day, a client showed me a photo of a wavy lob she got at a different salon from me 6 months ago. I had to be honest with her and say it looked different than the style she was showing me, but it wasn’t the fault of the other stylist at all. It was just that she had no texture in the cut, so the waves were just sitting on top of the hair like a helmet. If the cut looks bad, people tend to blame the stylist when in reality, the base of the cut is what matters. I’ve been making variations of the wavy lob and the ones that love it most are the ones that I take that extra time to remove the mid-length bulk and ensure the bangs aren’t blunt and resting on the forehead.

The wavy lob style with bangs features internal layering and point cutting on the bangs, so the hair doesn’t fall too flat and instead looks more natural. As long as the back is above collarbone length and some weight is taken off in the center, the soft bends will form instead of the unattractive triangular shape.

A little bit of light razor texture will help with frizz and will separate the waves in a good way instead of causing them to puff out. If you want to keep seeing more of the wavy lob with bangs, keep scrolling.

Modern Wavy Lob with Soft Bangs

#1: Soft Bangs on a Wavy Lob That Just Works

I like this color because it’s really warm and rich. It lifts the color and makes each wave look deep and intentional. It also sits perfectly just above the shoulders so it won’t get caught in your collar. I notice that the bangs are soft enough to blend with the rest of the hair so when they grow out, she won’t look obvious like some people think when they get bangs. Plus, if you have medium or thick hair and a bit of a natural wave, this will pretty much self style most days.

Textured Wavy Lob with Soft Fringe Bangs

#2 Wavy Lob with a Fringe That Moves

It’s clear the time spent on this cut is worthwhile. The layering is done excellently and you can see how bulk has been removed without making the ends look narrow or straggly- most mistakes I see done with thick hair. The fringe bangs are perfectly weighted so they sit nicely and not so much so that they fall flat against the forehead, which is a very tricky balance to achieve. This framing will be muy flattering if you have a round or heart shaped face and the length texture means you can probably get away with washing every other day and just scrunch in a bit of sea salt spray on the off days.

Effortlessly Chic Wavy Lob with Curtain Bangs

#3 Curtain Bangs on a Blonde Wavy Lob

I’d like to emphasize her color, as that light blonde with subtle woven highlights is making the waves look multidimensional. With this color, you hardly need to do anything with a curling wand because the color itself adds the illusion of extra texture. The curtain bangs are a magnificent selection for this face shape, as they open everything up instead of closing it down. I will say though, if your hair is fine like this looks, do not use heavy products as they will be counterproductive. You really only want to use a light volumizing mousse before you diffuse.

Dynamic Wavy Lob with Bold Bangs

#4 Bold Bangs with Waves That Have Some Attitude

I can see the added edginess; the bangs are thicker and more committed, which I actually prefer for medium to thick hair because thinner bangs look like they are a mistake. The waves are more bouncy, and you can see that good layering in the mid lengths that keeps it from being all one length and triangular. I’m just telling you the truth that bangs like this need a trim every 3-4 weeks or else they start poking you in the eyes and looking shaggy, but if you’re willing to go for that, this is a cut that looks like you tried a lot harder than you actually did, which is kind of the point.

Softly Textured Lob with Face-Framing Bangs

#5 A Light and Pretty Lob with Face-Framing Bangs

It’s a young and fresh look which I appreciate. I like the way the bangs create space around the eyes. The waves look like a braid that got a little messy overnight which is nice too. The fine hair looks good and the stylist did a good job with layering. I know people with fine hair like to get extra layers thinking that it will create a more volumous look, but that’s not the case. The ends end up looking see-through instead. This style will wear nicely through the week and will probably look best on day two or day three when the waves are more relaxed.

Textured Wavy Lob with Face-Enhancing Bangs

#6 Waves with Bangs That Brighten Everything Up

I focus first on her bangs that accentuate her eyes, and the length that just grazes above the shoulders gives a clean line even with so much texture. The layering is done well so it can still move and not feel too choppy. This is a good reference photo to bring in if you are someone who is worried about looking like you have too much hair, because the weight removal looks full but not heavy. If you want to add some warmth, a little balayage would look gorgeous on something like this.

Textured Wavy Lob with Face-Framing Bangs

#7 A Collarbone-Length Wavy Lob with Soft Framing

This looks simple, but actually requires a lot of skill. The stylist needs to know how to balance the face-framing pieces with the rest of the lengths. It’s the perfect length for a lob. It suits all collarbone lengths, and keeps its lob energy. The bangs are soft and natural, and are perfect to soften the look if your jaw or forehead is angular. The color is soft, and the subtleties are nice and prevent it from looking flat.

Effortlessly Wavy Lob with Face-Framing Bangs

#8 Airy Waves with Bangs That Soften the Whole Face

With this kind of hair, I know we can do something great. I can tell that although the hair is fine, it has some natural texture, which will help give hold to a wave style! The best part is we don’t have to go through the process of heating up a million products to make it look good. The face-framing bangs are doing amazing things along the jaw and the whole look is effortless and pretty. I also find that some of the subtle layering is great because it gives the hair some lift, which is great because I find that fine haired clients often complain about their hair going limp during the day. I like how this is a wash and go look too, as long as you keep up on your trims!

Charming Wavy Lob with Soft Bangs

#9 Soft Waves on a Lob with Gentle Bangs

What I appreciate about this cut is that it doesn’t try to be anything that it’s not, and that is honest, good work. The soft bangs are perfectly piece-y, and wavy enough to look better without having to mess with your hair in the morning. For finer hair types, this length and layering combination is great because you really balance texture with movement and then fullness at the ends. The bangs will need some work every few weeks, that’s true of any haircut so nothing new here.

Effortlessly Wavy Lob with Soft Bangs

#10 Easy Breezy Lob with Soft Bangs and Great Movement

I like the layers in this style because they help show how the hair moves at different lengths and avoids a stringy, thin look, which takes some skill. The soft bangs that sweep over the cheekbone are perfect for framing the face, and having the length rest just above the collarbone makes it super easy to manage between appointments. If you have thick hair and are wanting this style, just know your stylist will probably need to remove more internal weight than you’d think, because if that isn’t done the waves just clump together and it ends up being poofy, which isn’t the look you’re going for.

Textured Wavy Lob with Bold Bangs

#11 Waves with Bold Bangs and Real Personality

I love the bangs; the rock and roll quality comes out! It’s still super wearable for day to day stuff though. The waves tell me this is thick hair and it has been cut well. The natural volume does tell me the cut lets the hair do it’s thing! Honestly, when the cut is right, you shouldn’t have to battle your hair every morning. If your hair is finer and you love this style, a texture spray on dry hair will give you a similar result and that is okay.

Chic Wavy Lob with Textured Bangs

#12 A Chic Wavy Lob with Bangs That Have Texture

What I love about this cut especially is how airy it is. It gives the effect that there is hardly any hair, but in the best way possible. The hair looks light, soft, and is very movable. The bangs gives a nice touch of casualness to the cut and I love that. I love hair that looks like hair instead of polished helmets. For those who have fine hair, this is a great inspo, the waves and the texture give the illusion of more hair without the bulk but just be sure to tell your stylist not to go too crazy with the thinning shears, because it can backfire with fine hair.

Textured Wavy Lob with Curtain Bangs

#13 Curtain Bangs on a Textured Wavy Lob

Curtain bangs are a hairstyle that I feel work on just about everyone, and these particular ones are cut properly so I feel they work well as they split and fall to the sides of the face and look really natural, and, provide a nice compliment to the overall look. Here, the bangs are nice and soft, and overall, the style is soft and somewhat undone, which to me means the look is going to get better as the day goes on instead of fall apart, and that to me, is really the mark of a good haircut. The length and manageability, combined with the right amount of wave, create the right density and the perfect amount of this much wave, and with this much wave, this is the kind of style that could air dry and you’d still feel put together when you walk out of the house.

Chic Wavy Lob with Soft Bangs

#14 A Pretty Wavy Lob with Bangs That Frame Nicely

The way layering is done gives it movement and keeps the shape interesting without being overly textured. The soft bangs are grown out which is more flattering than freshly cut blunt bangs. This look is the type of haircut that is going to look good the first week and still look good the sixth week. Most people do not want to have to get another haircut because the cut only looks good the day they leave the salon. The soft waves will be low-maintenance and the shape is one of those traditionally shaped cuts that is ideal for quick errands or a more dressed up dinner.

Textured Wavy Lob with Soft Curtain Bangs

#15 Soft Curtain Bangs on a Pretty Textured Lob

Out of all the hairstyles, this one is really nice. The curtain bangs aren’t heavy, and can be brushed aside easily. They keep the hair off the face and also frame the face nicely. The hair is simple to manage, and the light waves make it look fuller. There won’t be much effort needed in the morning. If the hair is fine, some volumizing dry shampoo should be added at the roots on day two to keep the hair lifted. For having bangs, this is as easy as it gets. It’s low maintenance but still looks neat and styled.

Beachy Textured Lob with Soft Bangs

#16 Beachy Lob with Soft Bangs and Gorgeous Texture

It has that messy just-got-back-from-the-beach look that people always want. Getting that messy look may be difficult, but here it really works because the layers fall in such a way that the ends kick out and separate without looking sloppy. The soft bangs also do a lot here. They frame the face nicely in a playful way that isn’t too childish, and on a heart-shaped face this is going to look gorgeous. If your hair does not have natural waves, I suggest you spend around 10 minutes curling it. If it does, then good for you! All you will need is your hands and some product.

Textured Wavy Lob with Soft Bangs

#17 Textured Lob with Soft Bangs and Warm Color

The undertone makes the cut even better! The waves look richer and the texture stands out. It is crazy how much the right color can elevate a good haircut to great! The bangs are living and soft which I prefer to that super blunt bang. I think that style is super overhyped and doesn’t suit as many people as the internet makes you think. The length and layering would look great on someone with a natural wave or even a soft curl. Just let your hair do what it wants, and clean up the shape with a good cut every few months!

Wavy Lob with Bangs

#18 Sun-Kissed Wavy Lob with Easy Bangs

Those highlights catch the light beautifully and add dimension to the haircut! The extra visual texture on fine to medium hair is a massive difference. I love the bangs! They are so easy and breezy. They are the perfect amount and definitely add something. Overall the length is enough to throw it up in a polished style and the soft, natural wave’s pattern look great down. I really appreciate haircuts that look good in real life and the salon and that is all I care about. This haircut is perfect for that.

Soft Textured Lob with Fringe Bangs

#19 A Soft Lob with Fringe Bangs and Subtle Layers

I like how simple this haircut is. It looks clean and is not overdone. The cut, bangs, layers, and waves are all the same neutral length and the layers used to add movement are neutral too. She kept the cut simple so the hair can stay full which shows the fine to medium density well. This haircut may look simple but skill is required to do it. Everything needs to be proportioned perfectly.

Textured Wavy Lob with Fringe Bangs

#20 A Textured Lob with Bangs and Real Volume

Have thick hair? And wondering if a wavy lob would work for you? The answer is YES! So long as the internal weight is removed properly. The face-framing layers seem to really help keep everything light and airy despite, I’m guessing, a fair amount of hair, and the bangs are soft enough to avoid the heavy curtain look that thick haired people tend to get with bangs. I love the texture and movement, and this is a haircut where the wavy pattern really does a lot of the styling for you, as long as the shape is good.

Chic Textured Lob with Playful Bangs

#21 Playful Lob with Textured Bangs and Bounce

This cut has so much bounce to it! The layering is so well done, and it is super good, each wave is like its own individual creature. The bangs help to add a fun element and keep it from being too serious or over-styled, and the above shoulder length is that perfect point where everything starts to fall really nicely. This is a great option for medium to thick hair, and I would say the only real maintenance commitment (other than regular trims) is that you should make sure you aren’t using any really heavy products because that will just weigh down the fab texture!

Textured Wavy Lob with Soft Bangs and Subtle Layers

#22 Delicate Waves and Soft Bangs on a Pretty Lob

This is a great signature cut! Bangs are intended to frame the face and hairstyles should be able to fall into place effortlessly, it’s a great match. The length is great as well, and I agree it looks nice worn down. The stylist also avoided over layering the finer hair, which is good because you want to keep the ends with some density so it doesn’t end up looking too wispy. If your hair is fine and you want some more body, a root lifting spray will be your best friend with this kind of cut because it gives great volume without feeling stiff.

Playful Textured Lob with Wispy Bangs

#23 A Fun Textured Lob with Wispy Bangs

It’s really hard to pull off a style like this one, so its natural look is likely to give off the idea that it will blow around in the wind. You can tell that no stiff or overly controlled bangs were used, and the loose mid-length waves blend so well into the overall haircut that it’s flattering without being boring. I think this level of looseness is what helps others look more like themselves, if that makes sense. This type of framing will suit heart and oval faces perfectly, and because of the medium length, it’s that type of easy-to-live-with cuts that won’t take up much of your time in the morning.

Textured Wavy Lob with Effortless Bangs

#24 Wavy Lob with Effortless Bangs and Easy Texture

This style gives an effortless impression most likely because all the elements come together nicely; the waves are loose enough so they look naturally occurring, and the bangs are just a little bit undone. This is the type of outcome that is achievable from a great haircut and the perfect amount of product (just enough so you can see it, but not sticky). If you have fine or medium hair, for this style I’d recommend a lightweight wave cream applied to the hair while it’s still damp and then just let it dry. The shoulder length hair makes this style easy to maintain and the bangs will add some nice detail without too much extra effort needed on your part.

Effortlessly Textured Lob with Soft Bangs

#25 A Beautifully Balanced Lob with Soft Bangs and Dimension

I appreciate this style because of how well the cut and color harmonize. The subtle balayage adds depth and warmth, and highlights the texture from the haircut. The bangs are nice and this length works well for a lob. It’s a great length for movement, and the swing you don’t get with long hair. The waves are lovely, and this cut will age well. It’s low maintenance and I love that many trips to the salon and less in between appointments.
