How would you describe this look?

This look is what we would call out triangle part box braids. They are waist length and range in pricing from $160 to $200 depending on size and length.

Our favorite thing about this long box braids is for one, it doesn’t take long to do like most of our other styles such as the regular box braids and cornrows. This is good for both the client and stylist saving time in the seat. Second, they are lightweight. This is excellent for the summertime weather if you are a person who doesn’t like too much hair making you hot all the time.

You can wear it in any style from a ponytail to a bun, or just leave it hanging. Third, it’s just a fun style to have. The triangle parts make it differ and stand out from regular box braids!

How would you describe this look?

They are three-stranded long box braids that start from being thick to having small fine strands at the ends to bring out that gorgeous shape. My favorite thing about box braids is the way the shape of the boxes turn out to look and the fact that the braids are flexible right from day one and, with an additional touch of beads on the braids, look so goddess! I also love the joy it brings to my clients. It’s always a good thing to see your clients walk out with smiles on their faces.

Any advice for someone considering it?

When it comes to a long box braid hairstyle, I personally think that one should always consider their hair type first. As soon as you know your hair type, then you can take the next step. An example for black girls with natural hair – heat does not work with natural hair, as we all know, therefore they need to consider to use heat-protector on their hair before hair drying. In this way, the heat doesn’t damage the hair.

You don’t have to pay a whole lot of money to buy hair products. There are actually affordable ones that can be used to moisturize your hair as the hairdresser will be braiding. I advise you to choose the best hair products that will work hand-in-hand with your hair type to avoid any hair breakage.

You need to learn how to play around with your braids, have fun with it, style it as you would imagine the look on your mind. It’s always amazing to try out something new by yourself. It’s a little exercise you can try out at any time! I dare you! Styling is one important part. Styles like up-ties (ponytails), lazy buns, or just simple buns are must-do stylings. They save you so much time. Simplicity is always beautiful.

Let’s slay those braids! Let’s protect the hair and take care of the hair, always.

Long Box Braids on Red Hair

How would you describe this look?

These red long box braids are what we know as a protective style. It can be done on any hair type. Dressed down or dressed up, it’s suited for all occasions. It’s the perfect vacation hair. My favorite thing about this long hairstyle is its flexibility in styling and its longevity. It also promotes hair growth.

Any advice for someone considering it?

When styling long box braid hairstyles, refrain from pulling on your edges (hairline) too tightly as this can cause hair loss. If you have a very active lifestyle, I would suggest getting them lightweight, as it can be heavy depending on how it’s done.

The maintenance of this braided style is pretty easy, as it does not need much aftercare or products. It’s full of personality and sass, and it’s a classic that never goes out of style. I say go for it!
