With thousands of hair products we see on the internet, it’s difficult to decide what to choose. And, though we have one in mind, is it even the right product to use?
There are several aspects to consider in the first place. These include your hair characteristics and goal, lifestyle, and budget.
Determine your hair type and texture, then understand what they need the most.
Straight hair, for instance, needs to look sleek and shiny for a more luscious finish. While wavy or curly locks appear great when their natural bounce is retained. So, don’t opt for any product that will weigh its texture down.
Your hair care routine must be based on your life situation, too. Sweat-friendly products do exist in case you have a healthy and active lifestyle. Otherwise, you can choose the practical ones, depending on the humidity where you live in.
Lastly, it’s paramount that you assess your overall budget. Salon-grade products might be pricey, yet there are safe brands that don’t break the bank.

Darius and I both love, created, and use our styling cream daily! I love its light scent. Darius has thick wavy hair (he’s Mexican, Persian, & White) and I have curly hair (I’m Filipino and White) we like that it holds our hair without that helmet head gel cast look. haha. Does that make sense?

My favourite hair product right now is a combination of Olaplex No. 0 Intensive Bond Building Treatment & Olaplex No.3 Hair Perfector. I like to use both before I shampoo as a pre shampoo treatment and instead of leaving it for 10 minutes, I leave it in for 30 minutes under a shower cap before rinsing. The effect is instant. It leaves my hair revived and my curls popping!

My favourite hair product right now is the Cantu Moisturizing Curl Activator Cream. I love it because it’s full of naturally hydrating ingredients like shea butter, olive oil, and aloe vera juice. And it smells like a tropical fruit bowl! It enhances my natural curl pattern and adds shine. I like to layer it under my gel for the perfect wash and go! It’s best applied on wet or damp hair so it can soak in and hydrate your curls thoroughly.

My favorite product right now is something I have been recommending to clients for 15 years because my number one priority is always the health of the hair. I love Unite 7 seconds detangler for a few reasons. One, it is moisturizing and great for all hair types. It doesn’t weigh down fine hair. Another thing I love about it is it has a heat protectant and a UV protectant. It’s truly an all in one product you should spray on your hair after every time you wash your hair. After you wash and condition like normal, towel dry your hair. Then spray the detangler mid shaft through your ends before combing out.

My favorite hair care product at the moment is Solid Shampoo Morte Súbita by Brazilian vegan brand Lola Cosmetics. It is affordable, lasts more than 6-7 months, and leaves my hair clean, soft, and shiny. Paired with a hair mask by the same brand the results are beyond imaginable. It is always nice to know that beauty can be without cruelty and for a very reasonable price.

Currently, my favorite hair product is Bumble and Bumbles Dry Spun Texture Spray! My hair is so fine and if I want to have it hold any style, I have to add in the texture! This spray does the trick for me!

Oribe Gold Lust Nourishing Hair Oil is my favorite right now.
It is a light hair oil for summer. You can get all hair oil funcitons with it. As for me, I usually use 2 pumps on my shoulder-length hair. Moreover, it doesn’t have a strong hair oil smell, which is my favorite part in hot weather.
By the way, I prefer to use Kerastase Elixir Ultime L’Original Hair Oil in autumn and winter. It is a good choice for dry hair.
Also, a balanced diet is better than most hair growing shampoos and conditionders.

I love Cake The Curl Whip Mousse. My hair strands are fine and my hair is fairly low porosity so it needs help from products with hold, yet is easily weighed down. Cake the curl whip mousse gives me enough hold to get a soft cast that I scrunch out. Once I “scrunch out the crunch”, my hair feels closer to product-free than I’ve felt from any other mousse or gel. I also love refreshing my hair with this mousse. I can add more of it to day 2 hair without re-wetting my hair and it still won’t feel “producty”.

I love a good foam styler for quickly setting curls and reducing dry time and “The Doux – Mousse Def” is perfect! Firm hold, but not crunchy, moisturizing (which is uncommon in mousse), smooth and shiny… it can be air-dried, diffused or set under a hooded dryer. It’s amazing.

My favourite hair product right now is Unite 7 Seconds Detangler. It’s the best detangler I have ever used. It easily takes care of tangles and leaves your hair super soft!

After I started bleaching my hair last year, I’ve been loving the pastel line of oVertone because it’s so mild you don’t have to worry about accidentally dying your forehead or ears LOL! I slop it up there, massage it in, let it sit 20 minutes, wash out, and enjoy the fun new color (and great conditioning of my hair) for a couple of weeks before trying a new color!

I use ghd hot tool, but my current favorite and the one I use the most is Eva Nyc’s Healthy Heat Nano Silk Styling Iron.
For a styling product, I have several hairsprays that I rotate, and while I prefer a matte, brushable spray for daily wear, there is no strong hold hairspray that has beat Got2b Glued. If I want it frozen in place, that’s the spray for me! Whether I’m doing an intricate vintage look or fixing a custom wig in place, I always go for that giant yellow bottle. It’s also great when I have a sleeker updo, because it keeps every single loose baby hair or broken end in place!

My favorite hair products are Tzikal Shampoo and conditioner Olaplex n7 bonding oil (after shower) little drops on my hands to work it through my hair ends. Texturizing beach spray by Marc Anthony or Philip B Maui Wowie voluminizing and thickening beach mist (perfect any time you want that beach natural wave). Spray on hair and hair and let it dry by it self.
