  2. Use a medium to large round brush as you blow dry to smooth the hair and create volume in the crown.
  3. Create a triangle shape in the fringe (bang) area using the ends of the eyebrows for the large part of the triangle and the point at the top of the head for the point.
  4. Create a high ponytail at the top of the crown with the remaining hair.
  5. Tease or backcomb the ponytail, working from underneath.
  6. Spray teasing with hairspray, then smooth the top of the ponytail with a brush while tucking it under towards the back.
  7. Secure it in a roll with pins, then pull the sides of the roll down to create a chignon and secure once again with pins or hairspray.
  8. Finish by smoothing the front fringe area with a side part. If the fringe is too long, direct the long pieces back and pin them into the chignon.
  9. Finish with a firm hold hairspray.
