Of all the virtual hairstyles programs online, Makeover Solutions is probably hands down one of the best if not the best program with plenty of features and great hairstyles. Approach Infinity Media (AI-Media) is the company that powers this program and many other versions of it on popular beauty websites. The virtual hairstyle program is packed with features that are easy to use, packed with quality products, and easy account management. If there is one you had to choose, Makeover Solutions should definitely be on top of the list. Now lets take a look at some of the features and what is available for both free and membership.
What Makeover Solutions Offers
Makeover Solutions offers many options but first,lets review the free versus membership options. The company does offer a free version that allows uploading a one time photo of oneself to be viewed. The free version also comes with a couple of editing options including a few hairstyles, 10 face models, cosmetic colors, and accessories which are enough to tease the user but is still fun to play with. The membership for the site, which consists of three possible options, allows a member to have access to unlimited photo uploads as well as access to all hairstyles, models, accessories, and cosmetic enhancements. The different membership options are 3 months access to all features and contents for $14.95, 6 months access for $19.95, or 1 year access for $29.95 which is the best value.
Now that memberships is out of the way, lets take a look at some of the features that Makeover Solutions offers. Lets start by taking the first step in the program and that would be either to select a model or upload your own photo as shown in the first image.
We have chosen to select one of the many models that are provide and there are a variety of face shapes to choose from. For those uploading their own photos, there is an easy process of aligning the eyes, lips, and facial areas.

There are a lot of hairstyles to choose from and we start with the regular set by choosing a long, wavy hairstyle. The site offers a variety of choices that are searchable by length and bangs. Users can flip, rotate, and resize the hairstyles. Next we decided to play with a few of the options by changing the hair color to a lighter shade and adding a tiara which is just one of the many accessories available. The hair color options also has the ability to add some highlights and lowlights to the hairstyle as well.
That was fun and after playing with some features, the next step was to play with some celebrity hairstyles which seemed to have some recent cuts. A short hairstyle of Ashley Scott and a longer hairstyle from Carrie Underwood were selected and fitted on the model which looked great. The site has a large selection of celebrity hairstyles to choose from, more than 350 according to the site.
Makeover Solutions has plenty of other features as well including make-up options like changing lipstick color, adding lip gloss, and plenty more. The program also offers options for adding different headwear, adding Modo eyeglasses, placing on jewelry, and even trying on colored contact lenses. One of the other features that is very interesting is the pre-made looks featured in the i-Click that places the complete makeover including makeup and hairstyles onto the model. These makeovers include celebrity looks, bridal styles, prom, and super model styles. The other special effect is Cover Effects which places the picture behind a prop that makes it look like a magazine cover. This is a great effect but there are not enough different covers. All these makeovers can be shared through a personal gallery to users of myspace.com, Facebook, and personal blogs as well.

Makeover Solutions Drawbacks
Compared to other online virtual hairstyles sites, Makeover Solutions does not have any drawbacks but there are a couple of areas for improvement. Although the programs upload a photo system is already good, it is still hard to perfect an uploaded photo for all the features. The user must makes sure the photo is well lit, the facial area is showing well, and that all of the hair is combed back tightly. However, after a few tries it becomes easier to get photos prepped. Another is the lack of search ability for celebrity hairstyles in terms of hair length. The program allows search by name but by hair length would also be a plus. It is not known at the time how often the celebrity hairstyles are updated and if recent hot celebrity hairstyles are added quickly. Celebrity hairstyles are not allowed to be changed in color as well. The highlites and lowlites could use a little more work but with some adjusting on the amount, a user can make it look much better. Overall there are not too many drawbacks to Makeover Solutions and Latest-hairstyles.com would definitely recommend the program.
