We love textured hair for the winter months because you can achieve the look with no or almost no heat styling and the more wind-blown the look, the better! Additionally, this styling option works and looks fabulous with almost any length of hair. Case in point…

4 Winter Wave Styling Tips
1. If you have naturally curly or wavy hair, these styles are a cinch! Just make sure you use your favorite anti-frizz product to smooth and define your winter waves. We love Bumble and Bumble Defrizz and PHILIP B Anti-Frizz Formula 57. If you have naturally stick-straight hair, you may need to add a wave enhancing, volume-boosting product like Aveda Phomollient Styling Foam.
2. While you can achieve most of these looks without the help of heat styling tools, it is ok to give hair a quick blast to the roots with your blow dryer and diffuser to enhance the look.
3. There are a number of ways to achieve heat-free waves. Here’s one of our favorite tutorials to get you started… http://www.lovemaegan.com/2011/09/revisiting-no-heat-big-curls-w-twisted.html
4. Don’t like the way your winter waves are looking? Try wearing them in a messy pony, bun or half up half down style or add an accessory. Messy updos are always “in”!
