Hair Setters
For a lot of us girls who just do not have the time to sit there and curl our hair with a hot curling iron, hair setters have been a great asset. Hair setters allow us to roll our hair up in rollers and perform other fashion tasks like makeup. Hair setters not only heat up fast, but also come in different sizes for those different sized curls. Curls produced by hair setters usually last a little while but improvements to different products have increased not only lasting curls but also greater looking curls.
Picking the right hair setter
Because of the many different choices when it comes to hair setters, choosing the right one to fit your needs might require some thinking. Like other hair styling products, there are those cheap brands that do not produce good results and that break easily. Do not let having tried one of these bad brands persuade you from hair setters altogether. There are good brands like Vidal Sassoon, COnAir, and Caruso which do have some quality hair setters. When choosing your hair setter, first determine if you want variety. There are hair setters with rolls of a set width or varying width. Selecting a hair setter with a set width is a viable choice if you usually curl your hair evenly across. Ceramic coated rolls are a good selection as they produce ions that give hair an extra smooth, shine and eliminate frizzing.
Tips for using hair setters
For fine hair just dry the hair really well before applying the rollers. This should be enough to provide excellent curls that will last for a few hours. For thicker hair, using thicker rollers along with an application of hair spray before applying the rollers can create better, longer lasting curls. For thicker hair, tightening the hair on the rollers slightly more will produce better looking curls. |
