It’s Makeover Monday! Check out these amazing hair and makeup transformations with commentary by expert stylist Marlo Stuef. It’s amazing what the RIGHT cut and color can do for you, right?
CALLIE
Callie’s before look is dull, lifeless and simply falls flat. The dull medium blonde before washes Callie out and doesn’t make her features pop. By adding extensions, brightening up the base blonde and adding interesting fun fashion color, Callie looks age appropriate and one of her best features, her cheekbones, really pop.
JANICE
Janice’s brunette shade makes her features look washed out and the cut is too heavy and is dragging her features down. By brightening the base to a warm blonde with fun copper accents, her whole complexion brightens. The cut works by keeping the feminine softness around the face and in the back hairline proportionate to the disconnected top layers allowing for fun volume and texture (or a sleek and smooth look).
KAREN

Karen’s starting length is dragging her face down and the harsh highlights look juvenile. By richening the base color and having fun with tonal plays it makes Karen’s skin tone look flawless. The short bob and thicker, edgier bang showcase Karen as a professional who still has fun with her hair.
SARAH
Cutting Sarah’s hair to around her jawline really draws the eye up into her eyes while the new strawberry blonde hue makes her eyes stand out. While this cut is short, it is still long enough to work with her texture making it a fairly low fuss style with wavy textures. I love how the makeup was only tweaked slightly. By evening out Sarah’s skin tone and finding her perfect shade of red suddenly features pop without layers of (very different than usual) makeup.
Which model’s makeover do you like best?
