Long Hairstyles from American Idol
Long hairstyles can be very beautiful looks whether worn down, placed in beautiful updos, or with extra curls. American Idol contestants past and
present have sported some beautiful hairstyles and we take a look at three of the best from the popular show in this series. Those three are Kelly
Clarkson, the very first American Idol with very versatile hair, Carrie Underwood, another past winner with gorgeous long locks, and Kellie Pickler,
with hairstyles that are simple, cute, and sexy at the same time. All these long hairstyles offer some variety with how to play and arrange the tresses and bangs.
Kelly Clarkson
Kelly Clarkson continues to be a great achievement from American Idol and her rising popularity and public appearances, music video, and concerts have all shown many different long hairstyles. Kelly has some very versatile hair that can be worn in many ways. The three images of Kelly show just how different her long hairstyles can be yet are all beautiful on her. The image with dark hair is a simple flow down with a few layers. The front bangs swept slightly over the forehead gives a nice look. Kelly's 2nd image is similar to the first but with curls throughout the tresses. The 3rd image of Kelly is a more formal looking hairstyle with a simple center parting and waves toward the ends of the tresses. This hairstyle is a very beautiful choice that can be styled in several ways. These are just a small selection of Kelly's long hairstyles.
Carrie Underwood
Carrie Underwood has great long hair that goes great with light curls and natural waviness. Since her American Idol appearance, Carrie has sported some great long hairstyles including her appearance at the Academy of Country Music Awards. The first image shows a long formal hairstyle worn at the event. The half-updo hairstyles is a gorgeous looks with an off-center part, the hair tied at the back, and the long curled tresses flowing to one side. The 2nd image is Carrie's most popular look which also has a lot of flair. The hairstyle does an outstanding job with facial framing using the swept bangs and the tresses styled around the face and infused with soft curls. This long hairstyle is great for special occasions like prom and weddings. The third image of Carrie is a lot wilder than the other two but still features the same bangs. The hair is curled with smaller curls throughout the tresses and spread out for a messy appearance.
Jordin Sparks
Jordin Sparks, winner of American Idol's 6th season, has some very cute and beautiful long hairstyles. The first image shows a stunning layered hairstyle with a center parting and light waves added through the tresses. Not only is it a beautiful look but it also compliments her dress as well. The second image is a similar hairstyle with more defined curls which she wore on the runway for the The Heart Truth's' Red Dress Collection. The last image is shows her hair full of small curls that are separated to produce a fuller appearance. Creating curls like this is easy but time consuming but the end result is worth it.
