BLONDE MEDIUM FULL AND CURLY PINNED UP: This style is full of pinned up curls! The curls are large and add a lot of lushness to hair that may be thinner than it appears. It’s a great look for any special event!

Suitable for:

Face shapes: oval, square, round, heart, diamond

Hair texture: fine, medium or coarse

Hair density: thin, average to thick

Styling:

Maintenance: high

Time: 20-30 minutes

Techniques: Blow dry

Products: volumizing mousse for fine or medium hair, smoothing gel for coarse hair, root lift, Slick Works by Paul Mitchell, finishing hairspray, shine spray

Styling Steps:

1. Apply mousse or gel according to hair type.
2. Part the hair over the arch in the left eyebrow.
3. Following the directions on the packaging, apply a very small amount of Slick Works from the middle to the ends of the hair.
4. Spray a small amount of root lift at the scalp in the crown area.
5. Blow dry hair almost completely.
6. Using a large round brush, take sections of hair and finish blow drying around the brush. Before you pull the brush out of the hair, wrap it around, spray with hairspray and let it cool. After the curl is completely cool, unroll the brush.
7. Repeat this process all over the head, creating soft curls with the large round brush.
8. After all curls are completed, break apart the ends of the curls with your fingers.
9. Gather hair up in back like you are going to put in a ponytail and twist. Just a half twist should work – pin in place using bobby pins and let curls hang loose on left side. Once hair is secure, fluff the ends of the curls. Smooth the bangs from left to right, lifting them up at the roots for volume.
10. Smooth the hair going into the updo using the back side of a comb and spray with hairspray to control any fly away hairs. Spray entire completed style with hairspray.
11. Spray the overall style with shine spray for a polished look., making sure to protect roots from product so it doesn’t look greasy or limp.
