Techniques: Blow dry and large barrel curling iron
Products: volumizing mousse for fine or medium hair, smoothing gel for coarse hair, finishing hairspray, shine spray
Styling Steps:
1. Apply mousse or gel according to hair type.
2. Part the hair over the arch in the right eyebrow.
3. Blow dry hair completely.
4. Section hair into 4” horizontal layers.
5. Take a large section out of the bottom layer and wrap loosely around a large barrel curling iron. As you release the curl, slide the curling iron down to stretch curl out just a little bit.
6. Repeat this process layer by layer, moving up the head. Alternate the direction of the curls.
7. For hair on sides of face, curl forward almost to scalp.
8. For hair on top of head, curl to about 2” from scalp then release.
9. After all curls are completed, comb through the ends of the curls with your fingers to spread them out a little.
10. For the bangs, slide the curling iron from roots through ends, curling under slightly.
11. Spray the completed style with finishing hairspray.
12. Spray the overall style with shine spray for a polished look, making sure to protect roots from product so it doesn’t look greasy or limp.
