Lane-
i actually saw this exact picture in a magazine and got my hair cut like hers.. i went to straight and boring to short and unusual.. i love it!

SHORT ASYMMETRICAL BOB: This style is short on one side, longer on the other. Very contemporary! The hair is layered a little bit in back for volume, but the layers blend in. No bangs or face framing, just a long front piece that makes this style so sheik!

Suitable for:

Face shapes: oval, square, round, heart, diamond

Hair texture: fine, medium or coarse

Hair density: thin, average to thick

Styling:

Maintenance: medium

Time: 10-15 minutes

Techniques: Blow dry and flat iron

Products: volumizing mousse for fine or medium hair, smoothing gel for coarse hair, Slick Works by Paul Mitchell, finishing hairspray, shine spray

Styling Steps:

1. Apply mousse or gel according to hair type.
2. Part the hair above the arch in the left eyebrow.
3. Follow instructions on the packaging and apply a small amount of Slick Works from middle through ends of hair.
4. Blow dry hair almost completely.
5. Use large round brush to finish blow drying throughout the crown area roots for volume.
6. Section hair into 1-2 inch horizontal layers. Beginning in the back on the bottom, go through the hair using your flat iron. Bend the flat iron under slightly as you pull it through. Continue up the head, layer by layer.
7. In the bang area, pull the flat iron from left to right and down the side of the face. Curl the ends under.
8. Tease the hair in the crown area and smooth over the top.
9. Spray the completed style with finishing hairspray to control fly away hairs.
10. Spray a small amount of shine spray on ends of hair. Cover roots using your free hand to protect from product or your hair will look greasy and limp.
