SLEEK A-LINE: This style is super slick and easy to do. Shorter layers in back let the hair lift up for volume, and longer layers in front draw the eye forward. No bangs or face framing make this style very contemporary – along with the fantastic red highlights peeking through!

Suitable for:

Face shapes: oval, square, round, heart, diamond

Hair texture: fine, medium or coarse

Hair density: thin, average to thick

Styling:

Maintenance: medium

Time: 10-15 minutes

Techniques: Blow dry and flat iron

Products: volumizing mousse for fine or medium hair, smoothing gel for coarse hair, Straight Works by Paul Mitchell, finishing hairspray, shine spray

Styling Steps:

1. Apply mousse or gel according to hair type.
2. Part the hair above the arch in the left eyebrow.
3. Blow dry hair completely.
4. Following directions on the package, apply a small amount of Straight Works from the middle through the ends of the hair.
5. Section hair into 1-2 inch horizontal layers. Beginning in the back on the bottom, go through the hair using your flat iron. Bend the flat iron under slightly as you pull it through. Continue up the head, layer by layer.
6. In the bang area, pull the flat iron from left to right and down the side of the face. Curl the ends under.
7. Spray the completed style with finishing hairspray to control fly away hairs.
8. Spray a small amount of shine spray on ends of hair. Cover roots using your free hand to protect from product.

Whoa! HELLO FOREHEAD! I personally think that high forehads are well served by bangs or softer cuts. This cuts being a little flatter and with less body draws the eyes right to the forehead.

I agree with you. All you can notice is her high forehead. Definitely needs bangs, preferably full.

I think the red highlights takes ones eyes from the forehead to the hair.
