Tracy-
I love this hairstyle. I have a fat face and want to know if I could look good in this cut.

SUPER SHORT BOB: This style has a lot of personality! The layers up top are so short that it’s easy to make them stand up. Layering is just a bit longer in front, pulling your eye forward to the face. This softens up the look and makes it more feminine.

Suitable for:

Face shapes: oval, square, round, heart, diamond

Hair texture: fine, medium or coarse

Hair density: thin, average to thick

Styling:

Maintenance: low

Time: 5-10 minutes

Techniques: Blow dry and flat iron

Products: volumizing mousse for fine or medium hair, smoothing gel for coarse hair, root lift, Slick Works by Paul Mitchell, finishing hairspray, Gloss Drops by Paul Mitchell

Styling Steps:

1. Apply mousse or gel according to hair type.
2. Spray a small amount of root lift in the crown area, then add just a little bit of Slick Works to the ends of the hair. Follow instructions on the package for the best results.
3. Blow dry hair completely.
4. Using a flat iron, pull through hair from roots to ends, following contours of the head. For the short layers on top, pull the flat iron almost straight off.
5. In the bang area, pull the flat iron straight off to the side a little bit, following the shape of the forehead.
6. Use a small amount of finishing hairspray to keep shape of style.
7. Complete the look with a small amount of Gloss Drops. Make sure to follow the instructions on the label and pull a very small amount through the ends to make them shiny. Don’t get this product too close to your roots or your hair will look limp and greasy.
