FIESTY WISPY SHORT HAIR: This style is full of attitude! The color is bold and rich and helps make this style look top-of-the-line. Short layers are cut using a razoring technique to give them the wispy look. Face framing and bangs are razored in, too, for more playfulness.

Suitable for:

Face shapes: oval, square, round, heart, diamond

Hair texture: fine, medium or coarse

Hair density: thin, average to thick

Styling:

Maintenance: low

Time: 5-10 minutes

Techniques: Blow dry and flat iron (if needed)

Products: volumizing mousse for fine or medium hair, smoothing gel for coarse hair, root lift, Slick Works by Paul Mitchell, Foaming Pomade by Paul Mitchell, finishing hairspray

Styling Steps:

1. Apply mousse or gel according to hair type.
2. Spray in a very small amount of root lift in the crown area, then follow package instructions and add just a tiny bit of Slick Works to the ends of the hair. Use a brush to spread it through hair. You don’t want this product in your roots or your hair will look greasy.
3. Part hair above the arch in the right eyebrow.
4. Blow dry hair completely using your fingers to pull hair straight. Use a medium round brush in the roots in the crown area to finish blow drying for volume.
5. Use a flat iron if needed to straighten longer pieces of hair, pulling the flat iron through toward the face.
6. Follow the directions on the package for Foaming Pomade and pull through ends in back and mess them up. Pull it through the ends of the pieces around the face to add a little shine and help hold them in place.
7. Use a small amount of finishing hairspray to hold the completed style.
