Products: volumizing mousse for fine or medium hair, smoothing gel for coarse hair, Slick Works by Paul Mitchell, finishing hairspray and shine spray
Styling Steps:
1. Apply mousse or gel according to hair type.
2. Part the hair above the arch in the right eyebrow.
3. Following instructions on the package label, apply a small amount of Slick Works from middle through ends of hair.
4. Blow dry hair almost completely.
5. Using a large round brush, finish blow drying while smoothing hair around brush and sliding out. Make sure to blow from roots to ends.
6. Section hair into 2 inch horizontal layers.
7. Starting in the back on the bottom, pull flat iron through hair, curling under as you go. To avoid flattening volume created by round brush, don’t take the flat iron all the way to the roots.
8. In the bang area, pull the flat iron from right to left and down the side of the face.
9. Tease the hair in the crown just a little bit.
10. Spray the completed style with finishing hairspray to smooth style and control hair.
11. Apply a small amount of shine spray, covering roots with your free hand to protect roots from product. Too much shine will make hair look greasy and limp.
