SOFT A-LINE BOB: This style features a slight a-line cut across the back. It’s so slight, you almost don’t notice it! The layers have been cut in using a razoring technique so they lay softly in with the style. The bangs are tucked under and there isn’t any face framing. So cute!

Suitable for:

Face shapes: oval, square, round, heart, diamond

Hair texture: fine, medium or coarse

Hair density: thin, average to thick

Styling:

Maintenance: medium

Time: 10-15 minutes

Techniques: Blow dry and flat iron

Products: volumizing mousse for fine or medium hair, smoothing gel for coarse hair, Slick Works by Paul Mitchell, finishing hairspray, Gloss Drops by Paul Mitchell

Styling Steps:

1. Apply mousse or gel according to hair type.
2. Part hair above the arch in the left eyebrow.
3. Following the instructions on the label, apply a small amount of Slick Works from the middle through ends of hair, then brush product through.
4. Blow dry hair almost completely.
5. Using a large round brush, finish blow drying the hair. Wrap the hair around the brush and blow hot air away from scalp. Slide the brush straight off the ends and use cool air from your blow dryer to smooth the hair at the same time.
6. Use a flat iron if needed to straighten hair that has any wave or curl to it, pulling the flat iron almost straight off the ends. Follow the contours of the head to get the right bend in the hair.
7. Use a small amount of finishing hairspray on the completed style to control any fly away hairs.
8. Follow directions on Gloss Drops and apply a small amount to the ends for shine.
