MODERATELY LAYERED HAIR COMBINED WITH FLATTERING WAVES:
The haircut is an “increased” layer cut. A top guide is established and all the hair is brought up to this guide. The layers get longer and longer as you get to the bottom. This gives fullness to the top as well as keeping fullness through out the hair.
Suitable for:
Face shape: oblong, oval, diamond
Hair texture: fine, medium, course
Hair density: average to thick
Styling:
Time: 30+ minutes
Techniques: blow dryer, 1 ½” – 2” barrel curling iron OR large hot rollers, rubber bristle sculpting/styling brush
Products: firm styling gel, hairspray
Styling Steps:
1. Apply firm styling gel to clean damp hair. Distribute evenly and well throughout the hair.
2. Blow dry the hair completely dry.
3. Take a 1 ½” rectangular shaped section on top of the hair, and roll the ends with the iron or curlers all the way down to the scalp.
4. If using a curling iron, gently remove the iron from the curl, trying not to disturb the curl shape and let it cool in place.
5. Curl all hair in the same manner and allow it to cool.
6. Remove rollers if used.
7. Brush through the hair using either a sculpting brush with rubber bristles.
8. Brush the top towards the back and allow hair to fall in a natural part.
9. Use fingers to arrange hair in a pleasing manner.
10. Finish with hairspray if desired to help hold in place.
