Beautiful curls for a striking look! This style is great for longer hair that is naturally curly. Hair has long layers to help give it shape. With a lot of time and patience, you could accomplish the look on straight hair. You’d also need the right tools and an arsenal of products! Two sets of instructions are provided according to hair texture.

Styling:
Time: natural curl: 20 minutes Straight hair: 60+ minutes
Techniques: blow dryer, diffuser, 1”curling iron. Straight hair needs Caruso Hair setters or hot spiral curlers.
Products: curl defining gel, curl defining crème, hairspray. Straight hair needs firm hold defining gel, thermal setting spray, working spray, firm hold hairspray.
Styling steps: Naturally curly
1. Apply generous amount of curl defining gel to clean damp hair. Distribute evenly and well through all of hair.
2. Using a diffuser attached to a blow dryer, begin laying a section of hair on the blow dryer starting with the ends laying on the diffuser and pushing the diffuser up towards the scalp with the entire section of hair laying on the diffuser. Do these over the entire head until the hair is 90% dry. Flip the hair over upside down, and continue to lay the hair on the diffuser starting with the ends up to the scalp and hold the diffuser in this position until hair is dry in that section. Repeat until hair is all dry.
3. Flip head back up and arrange hair with your fingers and a bit of curl defining crème.
4. Use a curling iron on tendrils that need extra attention or shape. Curl in a spiral fashion.
5. Pull the hair on the top and sides back and away from the face. Secure with pretty clips.
6. Finish with hairspray if desired.
Styling steps: Straight hair
1. Apply generous amount of curl defining gel to clean damp hair. Distribute evenly and well through all of hair.
2. Blow dry the hair using a paddle brush until completely dry.
3. Spray thermal setting spray on section of hair to be curled. Spray on evenly through entire strand. Comb through.
4. Begin curling 1”-1 1/2” sections of hair with Caruso Hair setters or hot spiral curlers. Curl through all of head. Allow hair to cool well before removing curlers.
5. Lightly finger thorough hair. To break up curls just a bit, or scrunch curls with hands to break them up.
6. Pull the hair on the top and sides back and away from the face. Secure with pretty clips.
7. Finish with hairspray if desired.
