| 80’s THROWBACK CURLS: This style features medium length layers on top and shorter layers in back, curled all over with lots of volume. The look is soft and punk at the same time. The sides are pinned back a little to add a modern twist to a classic style. Fun!
Suitable for:

Hair texture: fine, medium or coarse
Hair density: thin, average to thick
Styling:
Maintenance: medium
Time: 15-20 minutes
Techniques: Blow dry and curling iron
Products: volumizing mousse for fine or medium hair, smoothing gel for coarse hair, finishing hairspray
Styling Steps:
1. Apply mousse or gel according to hair type.
2. Blow dry hair completely.
3. Section hair in 2 inch horizontal layers around the head.
4. Starting in the back on the bottom, curl hair down. Wrap hair around curling iron horizontally and curl under.
5. Move up a layer. Start curling hair a little diagonally instead of straight under. Repeat this process, completing each layer and moving up the head. Spray each layer after you are done curling it.
6. On the top of the head, curl hair horizontally.
7. For bangs, curl hair under across forehead.
8. After all hair is curled, mess it up with your fingers. Tease the hair all through the top and crown area and arrange the curls with your fingers. Spray with hairspray to help keep the volume.
9. Take the sides and slick back, leaving out a little on the left side. Pin them behind the ears using overlapping bobby pins.
10. Spray the completed style with finishing hairspray to lock in curls and add shine.
