PARTY CURLS: This style features perfect spiral curls all the way around. Long layers help keep it looking full, and highlights on top make it fun! A little bang in front sweeps off to the side to frame out the eyes and draw more attention there. Fabulous!

Suitable for:

Face shapes: oval, square, round, heart, diamond

Hair texture: fine, medium or coarse

Hair density: average to thick

Styling:

Maintenance: high

Time: 30+ minutes

Techniques: Blow dry and curling iron

Products: volumizing mousse for fine or medium hair, smoothing gel for coarse hair, finishing hairspray, shine spray

Styling Steps:

1. Apply mousse or gel according to hair type.
2. Part hair above the right eyebrow.
3. Blow dry hair completely.
4. Section hair into 2 inch horizontal layers.
5. Starting in the back, take a 1-2 inch section off the bottom layer and smooth it out. Spray lightly with hairspray, then wrap hair onto large barrel curling iron from ends to scalp in a spiral motion. Release after 20-30 seconds and let cool.
6. Complete bottom layer, then spray lightly with hairspray.
7. Move up a layer and repeat the process, misting completed layers with hairspray.
8. When you get to the top, roll the curling iron backward at the very top of the head and moving forward to bang area. Alternate the direction of the curls.
9. For bangs, start at the roots on the right side and slide the curling iron from right to left. Curl other face framing pieces toward the face.
10. DO NOT BRUSH THROUGH CURLS! If any of the curls are too thick, separate gently using fingers.
11. Spray the completed style with finishing hairspray to set all the curls and control any fly away hairs.
12. Follow the instructions on the shine spray and mist a small amount over ends, making sure to cover roots with your free hand to avoid getting product in them. Too much product or product in roots will make hair look greasy and limp.
