Hair texture: fine, medium or coarse

Hair density: thin, average to thick

Styling:

Maintenance: medium

Time: 15-20 minutes

Techniques: Blow dry and curling iron

Products: volumizing mousse for fine or medium hair, smoothing gel for coarse hair, finishing hairspray and shine spray

Styling Steps:

1. Apply mousse or gel according to hair type.
2. Part hair above arch in the right eyebrow, just in the bang area.
3. Blow dry hair almost completely.
4. Using a large round brush, finish blow drying hair around brush to add volume.
5. Section hair in horizontal layers when hair is dry.
6. Starting in the back on the bottom, add spiral curls at the very ends of 2-3 inch sections in each layer around a large barrel curling iron. Release the curl after about 30 seconds. Repeat the process layer after layer, working your way up the head.
7. In bang area, start on the left at the roots and pull the curling iron under and across the forehead at the same time.
8. Comb through the curls in the ends using your fingers.
9. Tease the hair in the crown area til you reach the desired volume, then smooth over the top and spray with hairspray.
10. Spray the entire style with finishing hairspray, then follow with a fine mist of shine spray on the ends, using your free hand to cover the root area so it doesn’t get a greasy look.
