Erin-
I have this haircut and I absolutely looove it. It's sometimes hard to get the flips, but when you do, it's gorgeous!!

FLIPPED OUT MEDIUM-LONG HAIRSTYLE: This style features lots of differing layer lengths that have been cut using a choppy razoring technique. Face framing is short, but bangs are even shorter. The result is a style that has piecy, wispy layers that flip out on que. Cute!

Suitable for:

Face shapes: oval, square, round, heart, diamond

Hair texture: fine, medium or coarse

Hair density: average to thick

Styling:

Maintenance: medium

Time: 15-20 minutes

Techniques: Blow dry and flat iron

Products: volumizing mousse for fine or medium hair, smoothing gel for coarse hair, Slick Works by Paul Mitchell, Foaming Pomade by Paul Mitchell, finishing hairspray

Styling Steps:

1. Apply mousse or gel according to hair type.
2. Part hair above the arch in the right eyebrow.
3. Following instructions on the package label, apply a very small amount of Slick Works from middle of hair to ends, avoiding roots so they don’t end up greasy looking.
4. Blow dry hair completely, using a large round brush in the top to add more volume.
5. Section hair in horizontal layers.
6. Starting in the back on the bottom, pull flat iron through 2 inch sections, flipping ends out as you pull the flat iron off.
7. In bang area, start on the right at the roots and pull the flat iron down and across the forehead.
8. Comb through the whole style with your fingers.
9. Spray the completed style with a little finishing hairspray all over, and follow with a very small amount of Foaming Pomade in the very ends, making sure to avoid the roots. Read product label for specifics.
