FLIRTY CHOPPY LOOK: This haircut has long layers on the top that flow into more textured layers on the bottom. The mouth length, side parted front ads drama.
Suitable for:
Face shape: round, oval, square, oblong
Hair texture: best on medium, fine and course hair is acceptable
Hair density: average to thick
Styling:
Maintenance: low to medium, depending on how straight your hair is naturally
Time: 10-20 minutes
Techniques: blow dry, flat iron (smoothing iron)
Products: root lifter, smoothing gel, texture paste, hairspray
Styling Steps:
1. Apply root lifter at roots and smoothing gel on the rest of the hair.
2. Blow dry with a paddle brush to smooth and straighten hair.
3. When hair is almost dry, flip head over and hold top straight with fingers a couple inches from the roots while you blow dry at the roots. This will give lots of body at the roots on top!
4. Flip head back up.
5. Use a flat iron (smoothing iron) to smooth down frizzies and make hair silky straight.
6. Back comb lightly at the crown for added fullness on top.
7. Use a pea-size bit of texture paste and emulsify it in your fingers.
8. Finger through ends of hair to accentuate choppiness and texture the front of the style.
9. Finish with hairspray to hold.
