Techniques: Blow dry and curling iron
Products: volumizing mousse for fine or medium hair, smoothing gel for coarse hair, finishing hairspray and gloss or shine spray
Styling Steps:
1. Apply mousse or gel according to hair type.
2. Part hair diagonally above the right eyebrow.
3. Blow dry hair almost completely dry.
4. Using a large round brush, smooth hair around brush and finish blowing dry from roots to ends.
5. Wrap 2 inch sections of hair around large round brush, spray with a little hairspray then hit it with hot air from your blow dryer. Let the hair cool off before removing the brush to help set the curl.
6. Gently brush through the hair with fingers, separating the curls at the ends.
7. For the hair around the face, roll the brush away from the face to create an open feel.
8. Tease the hair in the crown area for added volume and spray with hairspray to make it stick.
9. Spray completed style with finishing hairspray to hold the curls.
10. Spray a small amount of shine spray in the ends. Cover the roots with your hand when spraying so you don’t get the product on your roots. You don’t want your hair to look greasy. You can also use a gloss product. Just pull a very small amount through the ends to avoid the greasy look and to avoid weighing the curls down.
