MEDIUM CHOPPY BOB:
This style features a lot of razored layers and is longer in the front than the back. The ends get that “piecy” look from the razoring technique. It looks soft, but this style is fierce!
Suitable for:
Face shapes: round, oval, square, heart, diamond
Hair texture:
fine, medium or course
Hair density:
average to thick
Styling
Maintenance: medium
Time: 15-20 minutes
Techniques: Blow dry and flat iron
Products: volumizing mousse for fine hair, smoothing gel for coarse hair, texturizing paste or mud, finishing hairspray, root lift
Styling Steps:
1. Apply mousse or gel according to hair type and instructions on the bottle.
2. Blow hair upside down and forward to get the lift. If your hair is a little limp, use root lift to pick it up. Follow the directions on the bottle.
3. Blow dry hair completely.
4. Part hair behind the bang area alittle off to the left.
5. Use a flat iron to straighten hair and pull straight through the ends. On the longer, wispier pieces, pull the flat iron up when coming off the end of the hair to flip it out just a little bit.
6. Use a small amount of texturizing paste or mud on the ends and on the bangs to help hold the style and give it the choppy look.
7. Pull out small chunky pieces randomly using a small amount of the mud or paste for more definition.
8. Finish with hairspray to help hold the shape.
