CURLY UPDO FOR PROM: This style features crazy fun textures and is pinned up on top of the head for total drama. Definitely funky prom princess hair!

Products: volumizing mousse for fine or medium hair, smoothing gel for coarse hair, Freeze and Shine hairspray by Paul Mitchell
Styling Steps:
1. Apply mousse or gel according to hair type.
2. Blow dry hair completely.
3. Starting at the crown, start pinning hair up in a large ponytail base shape using bobby pins.
4. Use crimping iron to crimp hair that is left out of the bobby pins.
5. Keep adding hair from the edges, pulling it up and pinning to the outsides of your base. Leave out a small piece of hair on the left side of the face and crimp it.
6. Once all the hair has been crimped and is very secure, use backcombing comb to rough up some of the crimp in the middle of the make-shift ponytail.
7. Loop the hair and pin about halfway down the strand to the growing pile of hair.
8. Let some ends stick out.
9. Carefully add stitching to the front of the mass using white embroidery thread and a needle in a random pattern.
10. Finish the style with Freeze and Shine spray to hold everything in place and add a bit of shine
