SEPARATE THE HAIR AND CLIP UP
Using a tail comb or your index fingers, practice parting the hair horizontally from one side of the head to the other. Starting about an inch above the ears, part the hair around the back of the head just below the crown and to the other ear. Then, lift up all the hair above the part and clip it out of the way using the enclosed duck-bill clip(s). |
PIN UP THE HAIR THAT IS BELOW THE PART
Take the remaining hair and in large pin curls so that it to the head as possible. |
PLACEMENT OF FIRST CLIP
Open all the clips on the piece. The top middle clip should be attached first by placing it at the middle of the back of the head just below the part so that the top of the weft is even with the part when attached. Moving the clip downward, catch your hair in the clip and snap it shut. |
PLACEMENT OF THE SECOND CLIP
The left clip is next. Holding the middle clip in place with your right hand, use your left hand to move the left edge of the weft as far as it will go around your head. As above, place the clip on your hair just below the part, and moving the clip downward, catch your hair in the clip and snap it shut. |
PLACEMENT OF THE THIRD CLIP
To attach the right clip, hold the middle clip in place with your left hand, and use your right hand to move the right edge of the weft as far as it will go around your head. As in the previous two steps, place the clip on your hair just below the part, and moving the clip downward, catch your hair in the clip and snap it shut. |
CHECK FOR GAPS
Now that the three top clips are attached, run your fingers along the top weft to make sure it lies flat against your head along the entire width. If there are any gaps, correct this by snapping the clip open, lifting it off your hair and repositioning it so that the weft lies flat. |
PLACEMENT OF THE FOURTH CLIP
The bottom right clip is next. Pull the hair out of the way and place this clip by stretching the piece down to the bottom edge of the nape and slipping the clip into your hair, making sure the clip securely catches the hair at the end of the nape. The vertical stretch lace allows the piece to be pulled taut so that no gaps occur between the top and bottom of the piece. |
PLACEMENT OF THE FIFTH CLIP
The bottom left clip is next. As in the previous step, attach the left bottom clip making sure the clip securely catches the hair at the end of the nape. |
PLACEMENT OF THE SIXTH CLIP
The right side clip is next. As in the previous step, attach the right side clip into the hair behind your ears making sure the clip securely catches your hair. |
PLACEMENT OF THE SEVENTH CLIP
The left side clip is next. As in the previous step, attach the left side clip into the hair behind your ears making sure the clip securely catches your hair. |

TAKE YOUR HAIR FROM A LONG SILHOUETTE TO A TO-THE-SHOULDER BOB.
Most extension systems enable a woman to go from short to long hair. But with HairDo™ Synthetic Salon Clip-in Hair from Jessica Simpson and Ken Pavés, you can also take your hair from long to short. Because of the contoured base in these systems, long hair can be pinned up under the system, and the 10" straight or 15" wavy systems can be added to take long hair to a fashionable bob.

REMOVING THE WEFTS:
To remove either piece, snap open all the clips and gently lift up and away from your hair. Never try to remove a weft without first opening all the clips. Pulling or tugging to remove a weft can result in damage to your own hair. |
BETWEEN WEARINGS:
- Spray with a light mist of leave-in conditioner that is specially formulated for synthetic fiber to keep your extensions looking fresh and healthy.
- Gently remove any tangles using your fingers or pick comb.
- A water soluble hair spray may be used for a light hold.
CONDITIONING THE EXTENSIONS:
Just as with all synthetic fiber pieces, HairDo™ Synthetic Salon Clip-in Hair needs to be conditioned after shampooing to maintain a healthy shine and promote styling ease.
- After patting out the excess moisture, spray
specially formulated conditioner sparingly
on damp fibers.
- Fluff through and allow piece to dry overnight.
- When completely dry, brush and style as usual.
STORING THE HAIR:
It is best to store the extension systems flat in plastic bags. Do not sleep or swim while wearing the clip-in extension systems. |
IN HOME MAINTENANCE CLEANSING THE EXTENSIONS:
HairDo™ Synthetic Salon Clip-in Hair should be washed after 4–6 wearings.
- Before shampooing, gently remove any tangles or teasing with your fingers or a pick comb. Do not brush.
- Add one teaspoonful of any mild shampoo to two quarts cold – never hot – water.
- Immerse the clip-in extensions and soak 3 –5 minutes, then gently swish up and down. Do not rub.
- Rinse thoroughly twice in cold water.
- Dab gently with a towel to remove excess water. Do not squeeze or twist.
- While still wet, spray with a leave-in conditioner that is specially formulated for synthetic hair goods.
- Hang to dry at room temperature.
- Style with fingers or pick comb.
DO NOT USE HAIR DRYER, BLOW DRYER
OR CURLING IRON. AVOID EXCESS HEAT.
DO NOT BRUSH OR COMB WHILE WET!
STYLING THE HAIR:
- Because the curl pattern (or lack of a curl pattern) is baked into the fiber, it is not necessary to set your extensions after washing. However, if you wish, wet setting is the safest way to curl your extensions.
- Blow dryers, curling irons and other thermal tools should not be used on synthetic fiber as the heat can melt the fiber.
