Halo Lights
Halo lights are fairly straightforward. Picture where a halo would sit over your head and apply that same shape to the top of your head. The concept is that there appears to be a “halo” of light resting around your head like it would glow outside in the sun or under bright lights.
When talking to your stylist about this technique, if you choose to go with it make sure you tell your stylist how light you want it to appear and also how heavy you want it to be. They can create a very subtle halo by using a smaller amount of hair and control the lightness by the color they choose. If you are going more for the dramatic effect, you can have them take more hair and choose a color that has a greater contrast. You can also ask to have just a partial halo. In this case, they would take specific sections around the crown of your head instead of doing a whole ring.
Who can get halo lights? Anyone! It doesn’t matter what color your hair was to begin with. If you’re really a rebel, you can ask for a reverse halo. The stylist can apply the same concept but use a darker color in place of the lighter color. It’s a different, but fun, approach to this unique method of hair color.
