In a season where hair accessories have dominated the runways, Nunzio Saviano of the Nunzio Saviano Salon loves this thin headband on Reese as a great way to make a fun, flirty statement.
“This look is also very versatile and dependent on the headband. It can be dressed up for the red carpet or dressed down for a weekend wardrobe,” says Nunzio, a top hairstylist who draws upon his Italian heritage in his craftsmanship. His tailor-made approach takes facial structure, hair texture and lifestyle into consideration when creating uniquely signature, personalized looks.
Want to capture this look? Nunzio gave us some great tips!
1. To get Reese’s voluminous, polished look start by evenly distributing Kerastase Lift Vertige Root-Uplifting Gel throughout damp hair.
2. Next, begin blow drying hair upside down to create volume at the crown until hair is mostly dry. Then finish drying the hair in 2-inch sections, smoothing it out using a round brush and lightly teasing at the crown. Using a round brush is a great way to achieve volume and a touch of “lift” at the roots. It’s also the best way to smooth and control the hair that refuses to behave!
3. After blow drying, place the headband on over your forehead and glide it a few inches past your hairline. Once the headband is in place, lightly tease strands behind it to add some volume. Stock up on headbands — you can choose different accessories to make this look unique time and time again!
4. Set the style in place by sprizting Kerastase Laque Couture Micro-Misting Hairspray and finish off by smoothing away flyaways at the crown with a Mason Pearson brush. (Think the brush isn’t worth the price tag? Invest. It’ll last you for years to come!)
