2007 Academy Awards Oscars Hairstyle Reviews
The 2007 Oscars brought together some of Hollywoods biggest name to celebrate some great movies presented the prior year. Movies like Alejandro González Iñárritu's Babel, Martin Scorsese's The Departed, and Bill Condon's Dreams Girls were just a few of the big blockbusters. The Oscars is one of the biggest if not the biggest award show for movies and those attending definitely looked their best in designer dresses and suits, showing off jewelry, and sporting great looking hairstyles. The list of elegant hairstyles here goes on and on but there were some trends and a few that just seemed to shine above the rest.
| Now, we move on to a medium hairstyles that were the top looks at the Oscars. Starting with Naomi Watts, whose hairstyle includes a sweep of the front and smaller, curly locks on both sides that are scrunched up to fall right above the shoulders. The hairstyle is very similar to many classic looks and looks great with the lower neckline. Jennifer Lopez also wore a classic hairstyle with this great choice. The hair is swept up and to the right with bulkier curls than Naomi's hairstyle but provides a similar elegance. The hair is also scrunched right above the shoulders and the hair is brushed slightly back to display some gorgeous earrings. The last medium hairstyle presented here from the 2007 Oscars comes from Helen Mirren. This is a great look for the Oscar winner and really brings some energy and makes her look outstanding. The medium cut presented on her can definitely be used by many women of all ages for a similar appearance. Women out there that are lost with how to do their hair can definitely take lessons here. |

| No award show would be complete without some great looking updos and the Oscars did not disappoint. Starting with the simplest, Penelope Cruz went with the sleek back chignon. Her hair is combed back very tightly with a big bun at the back. This updo does not work for everyone but works for those with delicate facial features and well round face shapes as it tends to bring out the entire face more. Because Penelope has these features, the hairstyle looks great and the earrings really come out more as well. Jessica Biel went with a different updo which used wavy hair with a chignon. The front is waved and combed back loosely while the back consist of a simple bun to form an excellent hairstyle. Cate Blanchett is presented last because of the beauty of this updo. The hair features fine textured locks brushed to ones side with a little lift at the front. The hair is pinned in the back for an award winning look. This hairstyle is similar to Penelope's in that it will not be as appealing on everyone because it opens up the facial area more. |
