I love these stories about celebrities actually taking a role in the world and this one is a great one. Kate Hudson and her star stylist David Babii finally launched the David Babii for WildAid line of hair care products.
Kate did not just become the face behind the line but also took a part at being the guinea pig to the product line which includes natural ingredients like volcanic ash, cupucacu butter, blue algae, wild orchids, and kiwis.
Besides the natural ingredients, the hair care products are also free of sulfates, parabens, and petrochemicals which are bad for the environment. The products do not contain any ingredients derived from animals, are not tested on animals, and a percentage of the profits will be donated to WildAid. Even the packaging will be made from at least 10-percent recycled plastic. All sounds great to mean. Now let’s look at some of the products.
There are a few products now but hopefully the line will grow. The Hydrating Shampoo shown below is made of cupuacu butter, wild orchid, and blue algae which are all natural ingredients designed for moisturizing, shining, and strengthen the hair. The Hair Polish is made of extracts from ten natural ingredients and is designed to add shine and strengthen the hair. The Volcanic Ash Root Amplifier is made of natural ingredients including volcanic ash which is really interesting. I didn’t know volcanic ash had hair enhancing properties. All these products sound great and I definitely will purchase a shampoo and conditioner to try out.

I know this might be a little off topic but I had to talk about “You Don’t Mess With The Zohan”. I got a chance in my busy schedule to watch it and it was hilarious, some cheesy parts, but still very funny. Adam Sandler plays an Israeli commando who faked his own death to become a hairstylists in New York. The concept is a little crazy and when you see the antics at Rafaela’s salon it is funny. Seeing Sandler holding two hair dryers, doing crazy styling techniques, and flipping on the chairs is definitely funny. Definitely go check this one out.

Just one more day before the “Sex and the City: The Movie”, woo hoo, but the “Sex and the City: The Movie” New York City Premiere was full of beautiful women. Jennifer Hudson looked gorgeous with her face framing bob. I love the part, the length, and the angular cut similar to Victoria Beckham. This is why the bob is a very favorable cut.

I got a chance to view some pictures from the Country Music Awards and fell in love with Taylor Swift’s updo. She looks very gorgeous and her hairstylist did a great job. The off-center part and the hanging tendrils falling along the side of the face are perfect. It is good to see in an updo hairstyle instead of her curly locks just flowing down. She looks stunning in updos and should stick to them for further red carpet events.

Jenna Bush’s Wedding photos were released through the White House and she looks gorgeous. She wore her hair brushed back and to the sides and then pinned at the back for a beautiful downdo. She also added a small floral clip. This is a simple wedding hairstyle but is absolutely perfect because it brings out her beauty and the lovely Oscar de la Renta gown. Brides should all look this beautiful.

Sex in the City Movie comes out in a couple of weeks and I am dying to watch it just like many women are. I watch the trailer several times and even decided to go read some of the spoilers of the movie. What I loved was this image of Miranda’s hairstyle which looks to be at Carrie’s wedding. For women with that mid-length cut who want to enhance the look, her hairstyle looks elegant and chic. I love the subtle waves and the hair pin is a must. She hasn’t looked this beautiful throughout the show.

Prom season is here and salons are packed with young women getting their hair styled for the memorable occasion. I didn’t watch the movie, but Brittany Snow looks gorgeous in a prom dress and beautiful side pony tail for the world premiere of “Prom Night”. Girls, this is an easy hairstyle to create. After creating a slightly off-center part, just brush the hair back and tie in the back. The hair is left loose and a little messy which adds that needed flare. I love it for a prom hairstyle. I read this crazy article on Yahoo the other day talking about how Maxim magazine ranked Sarah Jessica Parker as “unsexiest woman alive”. Shame on the magazine for even writing such an article and the writer should be reprimanded. Maxim is a guy’s magazine that shows nothing but these model, curvy girls and it is a shame that they have to degrade women like this. Sarah is beautiful. She has an oval face shape but her jaw line is a little more angular which produces that unique look. She still looks very beautiful and to call her unsexiest is crazy. Women should have all their men cancel subscriptions to this terrible magazine. I love this quote by SJP “Do I have big fake boobs, Botox and big lips? No, Do I fit some ideals and standards of some men writing in a men’s magazine? Maybe not.” Thanks Sarah for telling them like it is.
I came across news bit which I thought was just crazy. This actually happened in Pennsylvania. A woman who went to a salon to have her hair done and then I guess she complained about the cut and style was shot by the stylist. I had to post this one because it is just a shocker. I know how it feels to deal with bad customers but never in my sane mind would even remotely imagine shooting a client. Well, goes to show every women, make sure you choose the right stylists and not only for the cut.
It is true that you don’t see too many men with red hair and there are a handful of women with red hair compared to other shades. I guess the red hair gene is recessive and could eventually fade out. We will wait to see what color Nicole Kidman’s baby is. Back to point though, Redhedd.com is an interesting site that is a dating service designed only for people with natural red hair color. The website’s Steve Warrington says ‘The mission is to save redheads.’
I love women with red hair myself. With the right shade the hair can look very fresh and beautiful but needs lots of care as it fades really easily and can look very dull. It would be a shame to not have any women with natural red hair though but I doubt that will ever happen.
