Okay, I have finally read enough news articles on this and it is getting on my last nerves. There are so many reports of hair styling tools like blow dryers, hair straighteners, and curling irons causing fires in homes and all it takes is simple preventive measures to unplug the unit. Just do a search and you can find videos, images, and plenty of stories on homes damaged by fires started by hair dryers and other tools.Although, these tools have lots of protective measures, fires can still start from overheating and electrical issues. I know lots of women with this problem because they are in a mad rush to try to prepare and get to where they are going.
The easy solution is to just get up a little earlier so you’re not in a rush. Also, a good trick is to post a little sign using paper or a white board in the bathroom or styling area with a message to remember to unplug any hairstyling tools. This trick has worked for a few people I recommended and once they get in the routine they can take down the sign. It surprising that companies that make these tools don’t make ones that shut off after a small period of time or make a beeping sound or something similar to alert people. Well Just make sure to unplug all styling tools before rushing off to where ever you’re going.
