1. Try a ‘T-Zone’ blow dry on days you are in a hurry or just to give your tresses a break from the heat. Blow-dry your part and around the hairline and let the rest dry naturally.
2. Did you leave the house without your favorite dry shampoo and are feeling the ‘grease effect’ on your hair? Dust a small amount of translucent powder (yes makeup) on your roots and work through with your fingers or a brush.
3. Towel dry your hair after rinsing shampoo and before applying conditioner. Removing access water will allow better product penetration into your strands.
4. Next time you do an at-home deep conditioning treatment on your tresses, mimic the dryer/heating effect from the salon by covering your hair with a plastic shower cap or plastic wrap and carefully applying heat with your hairdryer.
5. Take the time to apply styling products to your hair five to ten minutes before styling to allow for full product absorption. This will allow you to experience the full potential of the product!
6. Try an at-home hair glaze between colorings to boost shine and enhance your existing hair color to get you through (beautifully) to that next appointment.
7. Apply a small amount of dry shampoo to your roots immediately after styling clean hair to fight off the grease and grime the day might bring and give your tresses an early boost of volume.
